Definitely get the soft serve here. Don’t think the other snacks are worth it. Pretty spacious place to hangout and play board games. It’s self order at the machines and finished items are brought out at the counter for pick up. Not a particularly inviting space though. Something about it just feels under construction or industrial, not exactly what I expect from a dessert shop. But it works.

This froyo is great! It's not too sweet, but still hits the spot when you want a treat. I recommend!

A new guilty pleasure I have is popping in here when I walk between UCB and my house. On a hot day (or even less hot ones, I shouldn't lie ), I love a matcha soft serve or black sesame. In the waffle cone or the delicious fish shaped cone. Soooooo good, brings me back to my trips to Japan.Huge space to sit inside if you want to - hasn't ever been too busy when I've been by.Could eat this ice cream far too often (don't tell anyone hahaha).

They didn’t fill up the drink all the way. I asked for 100% sweetness and it was not sweet at all. The boba was nice and chewy but no flavor at all. I also ordered a strawberry mochi where the strawberry was on top. The mochi itself was good but half of it was warm while the other half was cold… Do not recommend at all.

Uji Time is a hidden gem that beckons matcha enthusiasts and dessert lovers alike into a world of delectable delights. My recent visit to this charming haven left me enchanted, as I indulged in their exquisite matcha-infused treats that transported me straight to the heart of Japan.1. Artful Presentation: The presentation of Uji Time's offerings is nothing short of artistry. The matcha swirls atop the soft-serve ice cream are mesmerizing, and the vibrant green hues in the pastries evoke a sense of tranquility and elegance. It's evident that every creation is thoughtfully designed to engage both the eyes and the taste buds.

Good ice cream, meh pretty much everything else that we tried here. Their tayaki came out dry and flavorless. But, like I said good ice cream.

It was my first time here and seemed similar to Somi Somi. I loved the Taiyaki croissant with Nutella and banana above the regular Taiyaki; was delicious and highly recommend it. The soft serves and milk tea was also great. They have a few board games you can play there or bring your own. The bathroom was a little sketchy, but everything else was nice.

A little bit of a let down for me. I had decently high expectations for this place as I've heard a lot of good things about it. Me and my girlfriend got the Black Sesame and Matcha Ice Cream. The Black Sesame was decent with good black sesame flavor but it was a bit too milky for us. The Matcha was a let down for me. The matcha didn't really taste authentic and the matcha powder was super crunchy for some reason. Usually matcha powder is supposed to dissolve in your mouth, but I found myself chewing it with my ice cream. If you're in Berkeley and want ice cream, this place could be an option, but it isn't a must get.

Cherry blossom mochi was good. Matcha Mochi was good but cold. I have been to this place twice now and both times I ordered things that they did not have. Then they gave me a replacement item that was not similar to the item I ordered at all. I ordered a taiyaki croissant with red bean paste they gave me a taiyaki waffle cone with red bean paste inside of it. It wasn't that good.

Japanese craziness and perfection in one place. I love it. Red bean ice cream is awesome and as red as only LSD can otherwise make so much red available to your brain.

Uji Time has a few locations around the Bay Area and this is their Berkeley location. The matcha here is pretty decent and authentic which makes for a great treat after a meal. There’s lots of room to sit down with friends and they even have some board games you can grab while you sit and eat.One word of caution, if you’re looking to get the prices you see on the menu, make sure to order with the cashier and not through the SnackPass kiosk which upcharges on the price. Besides that this place is nice.

First, the shop does not care about decoration at all.Secondly, they serve ice cream mochi rock hard right out of freezer. I have to wait 20 minutes for it getting softened.
