During our family trip to Big Bear, we stumbled upon Azteca Mexican Restaurant and were thoroughly impressed by not only the food but the exceptional service tailored especially for families. It's a gem that deserves every bit of praise.The menu itself is simple, but really good with lots of what seems to be hand made chips, tortilla's, and salsa, offering everything from sizzling fajitas to authentic relleno dishes. Our server, noticing our children's curiosity about the dishes, even brought out a small bean dip with cheese for them to try, which was a hit!What set Azteca apart was the staff's genuine effort to engage with us. One of the waiters flagged us down as we pulled into the parking lot, and made sure we didn't leave just because there was no parking. This attentiveness extended to their food preparation as well; they were happy to adjust spice levels and accommodate allergies, ensuring everyone at the table had a wonderful dining experience.In conclusion, Azteca Mexican Restaurant is a must-visit for families traveling to Big Bear. The combination of delicious, authentic Mexican food and the staff's attentiveness to families—especially those with young children—makes for an unforgettable dining experience. When I lived in Big Bear I ate there often. Really nice staff great food and the location is perfect. When I saw the name, I got really excited and thought they opened another restaurant down here in the HD. They have a outdoor dining area in the front, that has just enough tables to make it cozy, but not close together. The tables inside are comfortable private booths or you can sit at the bar or a small table. I highly recommend this restaurant. Unless it has changed since I was last there, you should definitely give Azteca a try.

Really enjoyed the selection of Margaritas. The Shrimp appetizer was great and served on a hot stone. The service was top notch and never waited any longer than a few minutes to be checked on and it was pretty packed. Definitely save room for dessert, can't go wrong with the fried ice cream or bread pudding.

My wife and I had an EXCELLENT experience here. Their other reviews on Google aren't kidding! Not only was their food outstanding, but their service was literally unparalleled. My wife and I each ordered a different dish and both came out fresh within 5 minutes despite it being a packed house. We were so impressed!! Also, their salsa is amazing (probably the best I've had at a Mexican restaurant); be sure to enjoy that for the few minutes before your food comes out.

Everything was soooo delicious!!!! And don't get me started on the drinks, we got a mangoneada margarita and it was to die for. The service was impecable and such a cute atmosphere! Family friendly, dogs are allowed on patio, def will b back soon!!!!
This place is it man. Combination of excellent food, service, atmosphere, and genuine care in everything they do here. Arturo is amazing! Everything was excellent. We ordered Crispy Tacos, Soft Tacos, Bean Burrito, Quesadillas, and Enchiladas.

This place is good, fast, popular and hustlers. Busy weekend and the place was packed but we were seated within a few minutes and food was served ridiculously fast after we put order in. Another night we got back to house late, were tired, and couldn't get a pizza delivered from anywhere so again they came through within the time we ordered to getting there to pick it up was less than 30 min. Pizza was gonna be 2 hours just for reference. Enjoy!! :)
