We went to another place with "Fire" in its name, and we found the service so unfriendly that we left. Then, we walked over to Barrel 33, and all was good in the world afterward. Dan, the bartender/cook/server, was super welcoming and friendly. The beer selection was top-notch, and the food was yummy. The vibe in Barrel 33 was very positive, and I look forward to hanging out there again. And hopefully, Dan will be working!

We decided to stop in and have a drink. Great selections! We love Brewery X Hard Seltzers and they had Huckleberry on tap which is always a fav. Definitely recommended these guys if you want to have a nice vibe and enjoy Big Bear for the heart of the village. Dan and Kenz were our waitresses/staff and were super nice to talk to and get to know :) Oh! Their Brie Bowl is literally one of the best things I've ever had. Didn't get a picture of it cuz I ate it so fast. Such a great place :)

Where do I began...... we are so fortunate to have stumbled into Barrel 33. I found the spot on Yelp however I had no idea how convenient the location is when visiting Big Bear. It is right in town! Perfect location. Walking from public parking you can't beat the location. Service: Impeccable! The service was amazing! We celebrated Easter here with our friend from Japan and they made us feel at home. We received the best recommendations from Joanne! She treated us like VIP customers! We tasted delicious wines and she explained everything to us. We did the 5 wine tasting which gave us a souvenir glass to take home! Extremely reasonably priced! I also bought an additional glass of the bubbly, perfect for a Sunday! We left with 2 additional bottles of wine suggested by Joanne! We were lucky to have live music, which they typically have every Friday & Saturday, on Easter Sunday! I could go on and on! Thank you Joanne Norton for a memorable experience and a Happy Easter! I've been coming to Big Bear on and off for years and have largely been disappointed with the food and bars, but this place did not disappoint. The food was excellent. I was a little disappointed they only had one IPA on tap and I found it to be lacking, but I tried a couple other beers and really enjoyed both. Really enjoyed the wine my partner ordered as well. I appreciate that they seem to have good taste. The ambiance was extremely relaxed, which was also nice.

Cheers to Dan, she was amazing!! She took such great care of us from the minute we walked in. Her warm personality and knowledge of wine was beyond!! Her and I could have chatted for hours about wine and being Texas girls. She picked an impeccable flight for me solely by asking what I do t like, plus it helped we have very similar taste. The charcuterie board was a perfect snack for day drinking. Great experience, my fiancé and I will definitely go see Dan every time we're in Big Bear.

This establishment is the perfect place for day drinking in the mountains. The flat bread with sundried tomatoes and large pretzels with cheese and mustard are delectable. The live music keeps you wanting more... the service is accommodating and friendly. I will come here again. Melody

I walked into this place only to ask where we could have some lunch because the pizza place we intended to eat at in Big Bear was closed on that day. She handed me a menu. So our group of five really enjoyed wine flights and various flatbread pizzas.

After a morning of four wheeling, I was really excited to try this place. They had a great selection of beer and wine and a bartender who really knew her stuff. I think we got in their shortly after they opened, because there was one couple ahead of us. After ordering a round and lunch, my entire table ate and had a few beers. The place got bust and the tables filled up quickly with people eating and enjoying there time. About an hour and a half in, I asked another bartender if he could check on my sandwich. Without knowing what sandwich, without knowing that it's been an hour and a half and my entire table has eaten and is ready to go, without knowing several other tables have gotten their good and are ready to move on. He replied. "It's coming," without ever checking on it. After another 30 minutes, just shy of 2 hours, the original server came past the table and when asked about it, disappeared only to come back a few minutes later to let me know they have no idea where my food was, "would you like to order again?"We moved on and I am not coming back

This place is a hidden jewel, off the main road and so cosy to be in with great service recommending awesome beers / wine. There's limited food options but all have been Stella when we've ordered. Spot is also child friendly and has live music on a couple of days we'd been. Can't recommend this place more.
