Service was amazing (they were hustling). We got the enchiladas, chicken taquitos, quesadillas, fajitas and the best chicken tortilla soup of my life (I'm from so cal so don't @ me, it's that good). Also the mango jalapeño margarita was delish!!! Highly recommend, I don't know what all these less than 5 star reviews are about- those people prob love chipotle or something.

Let’s just say I had low expectations being up in Big Bear where the food is normally unseasoned, overpriced etc…El Jacalito had great service, the employees were helpful and kind, the decor was great and it’s much bigger than expected. The atmosphere is clean, organized, and fun. The food was fantastic and we cannot wait to go back and try more!

I ordered the veggie burrito enchilada style. It was awful. Mushy and tasteless. It arrived cold and I asked to have it warmed up.Full of onion and almost no peppers. They forgot the cheese and sour cream.Vegetarian options: Very few options

Very slow day and the waiter was also the host and was not even acknowledging us waiting to be seated. The people in front of us got seated and even received food before the waiter/host came to offer us a table. (~spent about 24 minutes for him to even offer a seat). I understand if it was busy but it was very slow inside (multiple empty tables etc.) At least offer me a table so I can order appetizer / water while waiting. Decided to just go to another restaurant next door and was seated immediately.

Primo was the best server we have had during our stay in Big Bear!The Cadillac Marg was strong and delicious and the chicken fajitas were tasty! Will def come again!
If I could put zero stars in service they would be zero!! Very bad service, they got the wrong order and when they removed it it was taken away, delays in bringing the rest of the orders. It was my HBD lunch and it was terrible.

They are really unpolite servers. They screamed at us because we sat in an empty spot after waiting 10 minutes for somebody to come and sit us. It makes sense being the only empty restaurant on a very crowded winter Sunday in Big Bear.After that, we ordered some food, and we changed our mind. They didn't have the courtesy of accepting our request after around 45 to 60 seconds of ordering.Just to make clear, it was not only 1 employee who was extremely rude; it was 2 of them, plus the Manager. We are Mexicans, Colombians, and Brazilians.

We almost always eat here when at the Village. Good food, prices are $$, and the outside seating is nice during good weather.Restrooms are ok. Could use updating. Parking is hard to find.Pets can be with you in the outside patio.Wheelchair accessibility: They are wheelchair accessible but maneuvering it will be a bit hard in some inside areas.

Family came here a lot when I was a kid and haven't had their food in quite some years since moving. While I still consider La Paws my favorite, this place is a very, very close second nearing impossible to tell you which is better.
