Drinks were delicious, bar tenders were experienced and patient, vibes were fun. We were loud and goofy and felt very welcome.

This could be a 4-5 start place if the service was a little better and the food was actually served hot. I had dinner here yesterday after skiing. Our server was nice but a little out of it. For example, she would frequently come to our table to check on us, but then would leave without clearing dishes we were obviously done with. Similarly, they brought us all dishes with fries, but only included ketchup for one of us, and we had to wait some time to get it.The buffalo wings were okay, but overly drowned in sauce and served with ranch instead of bleu (which they provided upon request, but if you have it, ask which we want in advance). Also, they were served with no celery or carrots (I understand that they might have decided to leave these out because many people don't eat them, but if that's the case, ask us if we want them). Most importantly, when our food arrived it was basically at room temperature. The quality of the food was pretty good other than the temperature, but it's hard to give a good rating to food that is supposed to be hot, but isn't.
Nice layout, great 18+ bar area upstairs. Very friendly service, front of the house slow each time I've been there, food is fine, not great, good breadth of options.

Fine selection of food and drink options, deliciously prepared and served by a friendly and courteous staff. I thoroughly enjoyed dining at Oakside with my family.
My wife and I had a pleasant experience at Oakside for dinner tonight. What made this a great night out for us was truly the service. As soon as we arrived we were greeted and promptly sat. Even though they were busy our waiter arrived shortly after us being seated and made sure we had drinks.Throughout the duration of the night multiple staff including our waiter Eddy checked in on us, refilling our water and making sure we were attended too, but not being too overbearing either. This level of service is uncharacteristic of our experiences dining out in Big Bear so it made for a lovely Friday night date. Our food was as follows:Appetizer : Mango habanero wings, was expecting more spice but they did have good flavor. 6.7/10Main course: we split the followingTruffle Grilled Cheese : for a grilled cheese this has good flavor but for the price I still feel it could have had more to it 7.2 /10Loaded tots: this is one of their signature dishes and definitely knocked it out. For tots they get a 8.4/10Black and blue burger: Bun was a bit dry and fell apart fairly easily, should have been toasted (if it was it wasn’t enough) the blue cheese was very rich and a bit over powering. Not my favorite burger, especially for $20+ dollars. 4.8 / 10Overall great night, will definitely be coming back I’m sure their entrees will tell a different story.

Took my son there yesterday. He is a Master bartender and said the one who made his spiced whiskey sour in oak something did excellent job. We both had the filet mignon/lobster tail. The lobster is the best I've had in at least about 50 years. My filet mignon charcoal grilled, not much flavor. He was pleased and said cooked as ordered. He had the very best brussel sprouts I've ever tasted. I never liked them b4. For dessert we divided the brulee cheesecake. It was so delicious. Not dry like most restaurant cheesecake. The bill was over $200, so that was a downer. But we very much enjoyed our time together, such a blessing. Our little beautiful server, Selena, had only been in Big Bear 3 mths. She was very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and not flirty to my very handsome son.

We were there over this past holiday weekend. Very busy and they were still able to accommodate a group of 8 people. The food and drinks were great. The service was great. Will definitely be returning to this establishment when we visit Big Bear again.

This place was ok. The food was pricey, and service took forever. I ordered a burger well done, and it came out very rare. The server asked if she could fix it, and I said yes. She brought the same berger back, looked to be microwaved, and it was still raw in the middle. She took it off the bill, and I left hungry. For the price of everything, I would have hoped for better service.
