We stayed at the oak knoll cabins and I asked Jason for a good breakfast place to visit he recommended I try this place and well let just say he didn’t disappoint!! The plates are huge! And super delicious!! We had the turkey avocado melt , oatmeal for my daughter, I had the teddy bear take on a egg Benedict version topped with gravy!!

We visited during our Halloween trip to the Big Bear area. This was by far my favorite restaurant that we ate at! Breakfast was amazing! Our server was cool, even if I didn't get my hot chocolate lol... I had no room left in my belly for it anyways. Can't wait to visit again!

The diner has been in this location since 1946! Classic diner. Good food and friendly atmosphere. The pies look good, but we were not able to try them because of time constraints. We wish we could have tasted them!Food: 5/5

This place is the best! My wife and I frequently eat here because the service and food are always excellent! Make sure you try the pies!

Unfortunately, the restaurant did not live up to the hype of Yelp. The food was underwhelming for the following reasons: 1. Steak and eggs - steak was ordered medium rare but came out well done. It was also sadly not seasoned at all. The best thing on the plate were the O'Brien potatoes which should always be last. Also ordered biscuits and gravy; biscuit was dense and gravy had remnants of flour. 2. Country fried steak & eggs - same comment as above for gravy. Breading on steak was flavorful though! Toast as hardly toasted and room temperature. Our server though was the highlight, so shoutout to the service.

Interesting place you enter to see a waiting area. Walk past this to a reception area they take you name. Then you return to waiting area where there is sign saying they only take cash and of course an ATM machine. $2.50 service charge. Ok at this point the food better be worth it. We decided to eat outside. I do not recommend if they are short staffed. The food definitely made up for the experience. It was lunchtime time I went for the salmon salad a great choice to make well prepared compliments to the kitchen. I would try this place again. This time maybe in the dining area inside less chance of bees and their interest in your food.

Teddy Bear is an iconic restaurant in the Big Bear Lake area with a history that goes all the way back to 1944. It's a great breakfast dining choice because they open early at 7am, compared to other restaurants that don't open until 11am. This rustic little restaurant has inside dining as well as a charming patio area to enjoy the mountain air The patio is great if you have the company of a four-legged friend. The breakfast menu has many egg, omelette and waffle and pancake selections. I chose the traditional American eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, plate. Portions were generous and everything was cooked to perfection. The staff and servers were friendly, helpful and attentive. The restaurant is located in the Village, making it a perfect location to kickoff a day of shopping. Bring cash or your ATM card for payment. Menus are provided online at the tables using a scan code. I definitely recommend dropping by here for breakfast!

Food was ok. Long wait outside for a party of 3 on a Saturday morning. They do NOT take credit cards. Only CASH! There is an ATM in the front which charges you money to take out your own money.

Good comfort food, good prices (cash), and good service. Easy to park also. I had beef stew, and it was great. Generous portions. Did I mention they only take cash? This time they only had bottled beer but I think thats probably variable. Wine was fine but possibly not fine wine. No rush. Just enjoy your meal and take your time. And come hungry! Oh, and they have an ATM at the front because well you know...cash only. Enjoy.

This a good local place to eat. Personally I love breakfast for dinner but the chicken pot pie is excellent. Service is always friendly at this casual comfortable restaurant in the village.

Really not that great from all the hype. Sitting outside would be nice if you didn't get attacked by flys or bees. Serve was SLOW. Steak was burnt. Eggs didn't taste that great and the hash browns look good but average.

Standard breakfast food at stupid high prices. Welcome to California I guess. Have a great day. Oh, don't forget your smartphone, you'll need it to see the menu.

We've been here twice with our toddler and we really liked it. The food was rather comforting, good but not special. The prices are great for a tourist location. What we enjoyed most is the service and the kid-friendly approach. We got the same waitress twice and she was great! It's not always easy to go places with a toddler, but we felt comfortable and well taken care of during our visits. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the weather and fresh air. Thank you and we'll be back!

Best chicken pot pie I have ever had in a restaurant. Probably better than my grandmother's too! Just don't tell her that!
