I had the BBQ Burger, Mac and Cheese and the blonde. The burger was great, would recommend. The Blonde is also good. The Mac and Cheese was the worst thing I've ever had in my life. There is no way it was meant to tease like that. But the rest of the food was good and the people that work here are friendly and quick.Food: 3/5
I had dinner her two nights on my trip. The green beans with bacon was amazing. I had the Tri Tip the first night and the Bone Yard Steak the second. I asked for medium rare on the steak and it was medium well. It was good but medium rare probably would have been great. Tri Tip was a little dry but still tasted good. Server missed an opportunity by assuming we were done and didn't ask if I wanted another beer, I would have said yes if she had.
Stopped in after getting into the village. The pizzas are a great size for 1-2 people, wings are a good size (garlic Parm wast tasty) our waiter was very friendly and helpful at suggesting beers. He even brought out a birthday celebration cake ! Thank you.
I don't have words good enough to describe our experience at The Bone Yard!Ben, Christine and the rest of the staff were more than attentive and phenomenal to us. This restaurant will always be a go to when visiting Big Bear! All of the food is highly recommended! Everything we ate was delicious, the pulled pork nachos were beyond amazing. If you can go while in Big Bear it's a must!If I could it would be a 10/5 stars
What an overall great experience! We had came here after the place down the street gave us the worst service! We were sat at the other place only to be ignored for over 20 minutes and then to have the servers great other tables that were sat after us. We ended up leaving and coming to The Bone Yard. As soon as we entered the building it was a mich different vibe. We were greeted right away and sat within minutes. Our server "John" was so on top of everything it really put us in a better mood. He was very attentive and extremely considerate. The manager "Kelly" really put the cherry on top with the experience. She had stopped by and listened to us rant about the last place and was so welcoming. It was nice to see a business ran the way it should. We really appreciated all that was done for us! The food here was also really good! Lots to choose from and great atmosphere! Highly recommended!
Friendly staff and great food . Ben was awesome . It was a busy Saturday night in Big Bear . Will stop by here again when we are up here from San Diego
This is our second visit here to The Bone Yard and it was as amazing as the first visit. Waitress Lara is absolutely amazing and so sweet. The food is phenomenal and the drinks are so good! The manager is amazing and a hard worker making everyone happy and keeping his staff positive with kind words and high fives. Truly remarkable. We are happy to visit this place when we come up to visit Big Bear. We WILL be back again!
Friendly staff. Good food. We went there about 8:30 pm because everything else was closed. It was a good choice, though. I even remarked to my wife that I could eat there daily for our trip and be fine with that.
Lived here for 4 years and never been here til now. I love it! Doug is super friendly and attentive. All three of our drinks were brought to us by the time the conversation was over. The food was perfection and it is my neW favorite place. Thanks for being a great waiter Doug, and making the experience here so much better.
Doug was our server. Extremely friendly and customer service was excellent. Food was good and so were the beers. Have been here before and will comeback and recommend to others.
Our first impression was the modern, young atmosphere. 12 TVs showing different sports, 80's and 90's rock playing, and a cool glass beverage room where kegs of beer and other drinks were being chilled. Then we were hit by the abundance of very friendly staff hustling about. Service was fabulous! I couldn't decide on a beer so the waiter brought me a few free samples. I went with the house double IPA which wasn't bad but not a chart topper. My wife got a strawberry lemon drop that, judging by how fast she killed it, was the best cocktail she's had in a while. We split a meal with ribs, tri-tip, fries, garlic mashed potatoes, and corn bread. Good thing we split it because we still couldn't finish the whole thing between two of us. So the corn bread and garlic mashed were decent. The fries had a very nice crisp to them but they were a little too salty. The ribs tasted good but were a little dry throughout. But the tri-tip was A-MAZING! I will definitely be back and will load up on the tri-tip. And a Sunday lunch with NFL on all the TV's with beers flowing would be paradise!
My boyfriend and I enjoyed a great lunch here today. The restaurant was packed and had great viewing of the live football games. It was really nice that our waiter asked us which game(s) we were interested in watching, and made sure that we had a good view of the game. The food was DELICIOUS and our server was FANTASTIC! (I wish I had gotten his name.). We will definitely eat here again whenever we're in town!
Like any business who you work with is important and our waiter, Jefferson was great. I was worried about the service after seeing some of the reviews here, but we were seating and got our food and anything else we needed quickly. I got the Bone Yard burger and it was more than I expected, but my wife got the pizza and it looked good too. Her only complaint was that they didn't have peppers for the pizza.
I was a bit disappointed with the food however this is not really the kind of food I usually crave. We just wanted to eat somewhere and picked it because it had a quiet patio. The food I would give two stars. I got the Chinese chicken salad and calamari. The lettuce on the salad looked really old. The Chicken was okay. The Calamari tasted like chicken nuggets but with squid. The pizza is decent though. Food is over priced for what it is but it's in a prime location. The service was great though, and everyone was super nice so i'm adding a star. We got the house blond and that was good. Dogs are allowed on patio.
0/10 do not recommend. We visited big bear for the first time and wanted some place we could go for lunch, we decided to go here with our 2 kids. 100% serving frozen, unseasoned, bland food. Idk if it's inflation or what, but the best thing we got was our sons chicken nuggets. Service sucked, we saw our server one time when she took our order... after that we had the food runner give us our food and that was it. Had to go in to get a box, and had to go chase someone down for our check. Def keep walking if you see this place.
