A tiny gem of a restaurant tucked away in Bodega Bay. Our very pleasant hostess Julia was cognizant of our dietary needs and offered excellent entree alternatives. Their bread pudding is to die for. Turned out to be a very pleasant, albeit impromptu Easter experience for us.

Everything was delicious. Hubs got the duck, loved it. The pork chop was amazing. Fish stew delicious. Best mushroom soup ever! Cozy, fireside table for 4 on a cold, rainy night. Great service, birthday candle in delicious chocolate cake for friend's bday.

We were celebrating my partner's 84th birthday so we wanted a special experience and Terapin Creek was the perfect choice. I had the seafood stew and my partner had the steak - both were fabulous. The service was excellent. Our waiter explained things very well and was very kind. We sat in the alcove (enclosed porch) which was perfect because my partner is sensitive to noise. The candle on our dessert order was a very nice touch. Thank you for a wonderful birthday experience!

We dine here on a regular basis. There is nothing else in Sonoma County that compares to TC when it comes to its consistent high quality of service, cuisine and hospitality. We have been coming here for fourteen years and consider ourselves so fortunate to have this as our neighborhood place.

Another amazing meal! Tender, succulent Hamachi, sweet Scallops in a delicious sauce (and perfect bread to clean the bowl with), a tender pork chop with amazing side accompaniment and rich house made pasta with a blend of surf and turf - clams and spicy sausage. What's not to love. Open kitchen, friendly people, superb food. Always!

This is our go to restaurant for special occasions. It is so lovely. Ambience. Loved our tall waiter. Think we have seen him there before. He was great. It was my birthday celebration and the food was delicious as always. I especially liked the starters: Crab ragu and the hamachi dish. Wish we had ordered the scallops. We'll be back. We also have been spreading the word. I felt so well-feted!

The food here is very good. But the wait staff is snotty. We ARE locals, and we would dine here more often if the waitresses had more training. For the price and a Friday night, I expected the red carpet to be rolled out for their guests. Instead she was negative, and snotty and slow.

Started with hamachi crudo, scallops, and octopus apps which were all excellent. Entrees were equally delicious and coconut panna cotta completed the meal. The stellar dessert was the bread pudding! Always a special treat to dine here with owners Andrew and Liya and their great team. Highly recommend.

We come here about once a year foe the past decade and have never been disappointed. We've recommended and taken family and friends and everyone is blown away by the food this restaurant puts out. To me by far the best restaurant in the greater bay area, best staff, I cannot recommend enough. The Duck is my go to, but my friend told me I should try the pork chop, I might have a new favorite. But you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. Then to top it off their desserts are top notch, try the creme fraiche cheese cake or the passion fruit panacotta. Man writing this review makes me want to go back today ?

Wonderful restaurant. Dining at Terrapin has become an annual event while we vacation in Bodega Bay. It's such a great venue for visitors. We've always been intrigued by its blend and fusion of Asian and Western/European ingredients. We believe the menu changes seasonally and last week's meal was just as extraordinary as our last visit. I ordered cream of mushroom soup for starters. Wonderful earthy flavor drizzled with olive oil and croutons. I think I could have ordered another and been satisfied for the evening. Of course that wasn't going to happen when I saw the list of main courses included pork chops. It was grilled to moist medium rare, and plated on top of an asparagus, mushrooms, leeks, farro, and almonds. Our table ordered sourdough bread pudding with roasted apples, caramel/vanilla sauce, whipped cream, with candid pecans. We had no room to order second serving of dessert but would have liked to... Service was nicely paced over 2-hours, and the waiter and cook staff was so good at timing starters, drinks, main course, and desserts. Can't wait to come back next year.

Our experience was such a pleasant surprise! This is our new favorite restaurant in Bodega Bay. Food excellent, prices moderate for location, staff friendly and helpful. Our party of 4 had fish, mussels/ pasta, and steak dishes- all excellent!
