This place is shut down due to non payment of rent according to posts on all windows. Unfortunately they are still advertising as open and selling on Groupon. Don't be fooled by any Groupon for the Carlsbad location it's completely vacant. If you call Groupon they will insist that the business is operating and serving customers. There is not one stick of furniture left inside if I could give less than one stars I would

This place is my number one place. Of all restaurants I know I prefere it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to this restaurant. when I I need a good lunch, this restaurant comes instantly to my head. good and food and a large menu.well mannered crew, and good vibes. And very important, the price is fair. I sent my friends to this restaurant with pleasure.

The food and service were beyond my expectations. We absolutely liked the environment of this restaurant. Superb restaurant to take the family out for lunch.

I really like their food. I always get good customer service there. The place is well organised and the workers are always kind. I highly recommend this place.

Fun assortment of rolls in a great location!

Have had take away a few times during the quarantine and for the most part everything has been pretty good. Sometimes veggies aren't cooked enough in the teriyaki chicken plate, but the chicken is always very good.Unsure if they're closed, the last few times I've tried to order online, or even call, the online option errors out and the phone goes to a full voicemail :(

This spot is worth a try. They serve big portions for convenient prices. Always well kept and with awesome ambience. I highly recommend this place.

Terrible, two stars is generous. Put all the heavy saucy things at the top of the bag and didn't wrap anything. Huge mess everywhere. Gyoza clearly said pan-fried on menu, was deep fried. Laziness. Tuna tartare portion was pitiful. Too much other, better, sushi in the area, avoid!

I order the dynamite duo and the shrimp yakisoba! The sushi was ok, after not having sushi in what seems like forever I was really setting on it being spectacular. The flavors didn't seem to stand out time like most sushi does which was disappointing. For there being spicy tuna in it I didn't really taste any spice. As for the the yakisoba I was truly disappointed. It was way too oily, the shrimp was chewy, and generally I used to have a few more veggies in my yakisoba, all that was in it was noodles, shrimp and cabbage with scallion as garnish I think. I used to like going here, but after the quality I just had I'm definitely going to take a long break.

I ordered some udon and picked it up and they put the udon in a styrofoam cup and attempted to put a lid on it along with saran wrap that didnt work at all due to the udon being outrageously hot, the lid falling into the soup and the styrofoam nearly melting on my way home and almost burning myself trying to get the lid out of the cup..come to find out it leaked in the paper bag and ripped a hole bc it was leaking. Not impressed with ordering to go. Also, had to stop at a grocery store bc I was worried the cup was going to rip open so I bought a 9.00 Tupperware to keep it in. Wasn't a good experience at all with this to go order...they need better and more secure for to go cups for udon.

Food is fine but the staff is surly, unwelcoming, bordering on rude but dont be surprised if you feel uncomfortable and inconvenient from the moment you step in

Great place for late dinner. Sushi Yama is our place to go when I get out of work late. Fresh food and friendly staff. I've been to a bunch of good sushi places, but here is where I've had the best Padres Roll so far ♡

Relaxing, casual vibe with a nice outdoor patio. Excellent sushi. My favorites are the flying eagle and the kitchen sink. Our server, Lauryn, was very nice! We usually go to the Escondido location but this one is good too.

Firs time trying this place out. The food was good. You recieve 8 pieces per roll. There are several rolls that have 50% off pricing. They have some very clever names for some of the rolls. Our group actually had fun joking about some of the names. The waitresses seemed a bit preoccupied with the other waitress that was there. From getting our drinks to being asked to order took longer then would have liked. Just being more attentive even with the later customers is always appreciated. Once the 2nd waitress left for the day received more attention from our waitress. I would definitely give this place another shot.

I've been here a few times and it's located on the upper level of a two story strip mall at a nice location in scenic Carlsbad. The outside dining area is nice and in the afternoon and evenings you might be able to catch live music, bands below. People watching is interesting to say the least. Service is good and the food is pretty decent. Prices are decent and the food is good.
