Amazing delicious dry mead. This little gem of a meadery is NOT to be missed whether you live in the area or simply driving by on the PCH.
My sister and I found this place on our Sister trip just by chance!! If you have never been or had mead... its the best in the WEST!!
Thanks Vinny :)
I enjoyed a mead flight. It was excellent, especially the Rare Earth.
Waited in line 25 minutes with a toddler. Gee thanks
Unique and very flavorful beverages in a chill atmosphere!
I was a kombucha virgin until I tried Prickly Piña. Now I love it…!
Love the meads, ciders and kombuchas. Cute little spot to sip some good drinks
Across the years I have stopped in here several times. Each time it just gets better, even though I never have any complaints. High quality cider, Jun kombucha, and mead. It's hard to think of anything I wouldn't recommend! Go for it's a date or the vanilla clover mead for a sweeter taste. For a more fruity kombucha taste I recommend the berry version of Drink Your Flowers. Great staff and super kind.
Empanadas cooked next door and brought to you. Delicious meat, veggie, and vegan options, all Argentinan style.
Always a high recommendation on my list!
Best place eveerrrrr. So fresh and delightful.
We stopped here on our way back home and it was a great stop to try the best meads I’ve had in California! We brought some to bring back with us and wish we had more time to stay. I would recommend checking out on your way or if you’re in the area.

The staff is amazing and very helpful. The atmosphere of the place is very welcoming and the patrons are always friendly. If you choose to take a battle or a few home if you return to fill the bottles again you get a $5 credit since you brought the bottle(s) back
Was being ignored by the employee. Was standing right in front of him trying to make a purchase and he was not acknowledging I was there until I spoke up. He told me he would be right with me and continued to stare at another girl drinking. I had to wait until they left to get any help. I dont think it takes much to make one transaction. Much less just simply say "I'll be right with you" instead of having me stand there wondering if he saw me place my purchase on the counter.
Great beer, mead, cider, and kombucha selection!
All hail The Apiary! If you’ve ever wanted to try mead, this is the place! With the guidance of Sir Miles, I sampled a few varieties. Both were delicious and had a fragrant aroma. I went with a few Darkest Flower/Avocado Blossom, and enjoyed them back in my hotel room by the sea. They have other “botanical beverages” (including cider and hard kombucha) here also, and you can hang out and interact in a patio area in the back. The Carpinteria Wine Company a few doors down is also fantastic. What a cool spot in such a cool little town!
I didn't think I was a big fan of mead, or of hard ciders and kombuchas, until I came here. I don't love sweet drinks, and every mead I've had in the past has been syrupy, heavy, and too sweet. NOT THESE! Three of us visited right as they opened on a Sunday at noon, we tried 8 or 9 things on tap, and our favorites were Pink Jasmine, Pinkies Out, and Drink Your Flowers (Turmeric, Ginger, Orange Blossom). One of the drinks had guava (I wish I could remember which one it was!) and it was the BEST bev I've had in a while. The vibe here is breezy and lovely (don't let the darkened front doors fool you), there's gorgeous art on the walls, and the back patio is so sunny and sweet. Fragrant, climbing pink jasmine and succulents frame the patio (which abuts a brewery, also delicious), small tables and chairs are arranged just inside a roll-up garage door, and outside in the sun.
