Despite their location, I’m curious if they get a lot of foot traffic. When I was there, I really didn’t see anyone else. I also didn’t enjoy the food that much.

Stopped for dinner tonight and ordered the Mixed BBQ Plate. Meat was dry, overcooked and flavorless. The macaroni salad was bland and had a funny flavor.

I gave this place a 1 because I order some food and was waiting for it for about 2-3 minutes and then I saw a huge cockroach crawl across the floor and when I saw it I took a picture of it and then I did not want to eat there so I asked for a refund. I'm so glad it happened so early before they even finish making my food.I have loved this place and now I don't. I hate that the picture didn't show the real size of the cockroach and was clearer but trust me it was huge never seen one like that before.

Food would get five stars if you added impossible burger to the Loco Moco options.Vegetarian options: Please consider impossible burgers! Everyone else is!

**BEWARE OF SERVICE**The male cashier popped up under the counter, he looked like he didn’t want to be bothered or interrupted.Ordered a Healthy Garlic Shrimp; the shrimp seemed lukewarm and old, the greens were not the freshest, and they completely forgot the brown rice. Pretty expensive shrimp salad I guess. ($15). Both this location and the Hayward (Tennyson) location are awful.

I should have walked away when I thought about it! Not so great customer service and food was even worst. As the cook was "preparing" the plate, he was chatting with the cashier and did not hear any food sizzlI ordered the BBQ Mix; chicken tasted like it's been fridges and heated again. Rib was MOSTLY fat! Beef was also fatty. The mac was okay with a lot of mayonnaise I regret spending $17 for this and eating some of the mac, rice and around the fat of the beef and rib. I haven't been this disappointed in any L&L. Do not waste your money here. By the way you get one fatty rib, beef mush and slabs of off-flavored chicken.

The food is just ok. But the place is very dirty. While I was there ordering for the first time, the guy who was emptying the garbage can was also the cook. I certainly hope he washed his hands before cooking food. And, this place has received over 74 health violations. Go check data.acgov.org and see for yourself.

This L&L is small but there are a few tables to sit and dine in. At first it looks like it’s just a take out spot but when you go in you’ll see the tables. There’s a private parking lot which is always a plus in my book. They have a restroom also a plus!We came when it first opened so there wasn’t a line. But they did have a few people picking up orders to go. We ordered BBQ chicken and rice, and Spam, eggs, and rice. It’s nothing special since we’ve been to a bunch of L&L’s but I am happy that they are consistent with the food. They give a good amount for one person. But the Spam, eggs, rice was overloaded with rice. It was two scoops of rice then they put the spam on a bed of rice. So that’s a lot! But it’s all good! The lady always thank us for purchase but she never smiled. Anyway, that’s is all I can say about this one.

Greeted on arrival! Fast friendly service and cute worker! Delicious wholesome Hawaiian style food. Nice selection of meals and combos.Parking: Parking can be a challenge during peak meal hours, as lunch. Parking lot is shared with other businesses. Free parking. Redwood road is a busy street, so patience is warranted.

L&L is my favorite of the nearby Hawaiian restaurants but my last few visits haven't been the quality that I am used to. I ordered a regular plate, all rice, half katsu and half short rib. The short rib was mostly fat and chewy. The katsu was cut bigger than I'm used to. The food was okay but not something I wanted to write home about. (This made me sad because it usually is really good and I was craving it)The employees were fine. They greeted us and helped us. Also updated us on how long our food would be while we waited. This location is a corner suite in a block of businesses. It is a bit dark in there but I don't mind it. I think it gives it a more relaxed feel. The parking lot does get a bit hectic but I know they do not have control over that. Overall, an average experience.
