I've been coming here for years and Portales never fails to deliver. Rosa is the sweetest and all their food is delicious.

I took my daughter to her drumming classes next door and decided to come in 15 minutes before closing. Since it was our first visit, we weren't entirely familiar with the place, but I was pleasantly surprised by how welcoming everyone was. Eli, in particular, stood out with his warm and friendly demeanor, making us feel at home right away.

I ordered some delicious food and tried to relax, enjoying the atmosphere despite having my newborn with me. I felt a twinge of guilt as my baby began to cry, which made me take a bit longer to eat. However, the staff handled it with such kindness and understanding—it was really heartwarming.

I'm looking forward to returning next week while my daughter has her next drumming lesson. It's nice to know we’ve found such a supportive and enjoyable spot!

Dude, the food's awesome, the taste is real, the service is super fast, and they get your food out quick. The suggestions are spot-on. I totally recommend it!

The best pozole I’ve ever had hands down! Full of flavor and reasonably priced. Comes with all the toppings. The service was spectacular, the cashier (I didn’t get her name) I picked up food around 5pm on a Tuesday. She was very very sweet and kind. I will definitely be coming here for Mexican food moving forward. And almost forgot to mention the agua Fresca de Jamaica is made from scratch and is delicious!!

This is my favorite new Mexican spot in the Hayward/Castro Valley area. I love that they have vegetarian and vegan tacos which is rare. The lady taking my order was so kind and compassionate about a recent surgery I've had. I'll definitely go back

We are always received warmly, and the food is so tasty. I appreciate that they have vegan proteins and are accommodating of my weird food things (no cilantro, etc). Happy to stop in here anytime we can♡♡♡

Wonderful friendly atmosphere!

Food was good. We were given complimentary chips while dining in. There is an open salsa bar with a variety of salsa and toppings. The nice lady also asked us if we wanted refills for the side tortillas that came with the combo plates.

Great fast service, wonderful atmosphere, and yummy food. Definitely come here and enjoy the outdoor tables. Staff is so friendly. Food was great.

I ordered a wet vegan burrito online and the food was a bit late so I did not get it at it's best I would imagine. The filling was dry and I don't personally like belle pepper so the veggie filling was not very good for me. The papas and sauces were flavorful and I do plan on trying their food again and I hope to dine in sometime.

Very delicious food and extremely nice and warming staff. Highly recommend the Quesabirria Quesadilla, Wet burrito, and Supreme burrito.
