I've gotten these twice now at the Palm Springs outdoor market on Thursdays. They'll give you samples to try, and I've had the cinnamon and chocolate ones. They're good flavor-wise but kinda dense and drying compared to other vegan rugelach I've had. I appreciate the vegan options, but I do wish they had vegan options with gluten. All vegan options are gluten-free, so that's probably why the texture is off to me. Nice little treat once in a while if you ever see them at the marketplace.

leave the owner at home. I was offered a sample, when I tried a sample of each flavor I went to get my husband to have him come over to purchase some. The owner couldn’t help but run his mouth, he acted like I had a feast and tried harassing me into buying his product. “You worked me over! You can’t even buy a $5 bag” “I hope you’re full!” No buddy, those 5 tiny samples did not fill me up.

We’re visiting at Joshua tree farmers market and they offered samples to everyone one. I tried 2 samples they suggested and they were really good. However, we decided not to get anything… the guy, I’m assuming the owner at the stand shouts at us “you’re just gonna sit here and work me over for samples and not even get a $5 bag! Get the hell out of here!” Completely caught off guard, as we were walking away he continued to complain and yell about people taking his free samples and not buying anything to the tents next to him. Not going to support a local business that treats patrons that way.

The owner, or whoever the older, aggressive, rude guy was needs to calm down. I was at the JT farmer’s market with my husband. We were offered “as many samples as we would like” I tried 2 flavors, husband tried 3. We moved out of the way for the people behind us while we decided which flavors we agreed on when the red faced old man started YELLING at us “ALL THOSE SAMPLES AND YOU CANT BUY A $5 BAG?!” “YOU WORKED ME OVER, I HOPE YOU’RE FULL.” And then proceeded to complain about us to the next customers. It was crazy. He really should control his emotions if he is going to be representing this brand. They were good, but I’ll get the same quality at a supermarket where they don’t offer samples and then get mad at people eating samples.

Had a taste of their rugelach at the Joshua tree farmer’s market this weekend and wanted to stop by to support the business with a review at least, if I can’t make it in person for a while. The husband was very nice! I’m sure the wife is as well. All the varieties (cinnamon nut, apricot, raspberry, chocolate, and chocolate raspberry) were delicious. You can tell they’re freshly made. They also make their dark chocolate from scratch. The danger of the rugelach being bite sized is that it’s easy to eat the entire pack in one sitting… you have been warned!

The owner runs the farmers market booth and will happily ply you with samples before you decide which variety most delights you. This is a specialty baked good that is rarely made vegan.

If you’ve never tried the many flavorful fillings of rugelach you’re in for a treat; and if you’re a real East Coast New Yorker you’re back home! And if you’re from Brooklyn than you know it’s “out of this world” delicious! Met this great couple at the Palm Spring’s street fair. It’s the real deal! Oy, we’ll be back to visit their shop! Essen! ?

Consistently the best rugelah available in the desert! But be careful... it's addictive!
