Excited to have an Ethiopian restaurant closer to home. I usually have to drive to Sac from Placer County. I ordered take out online today for lunch. The lady who greeted me when I walked in was very welcoming and answered all my questions. The restaurant was clean. The portion size was bigger than I expected. I appreciated that they separated certain parts of my order, like the cottage cheese and each of the lentils. I highly recommend the Doro Wat (chicken), Kay Sire (beets and potatoes) and Misr Wot (Red Lentils). They were delicious! Will be back for sure.

I went here because of all the hype. Everything tasted so bland and lacking flavor. Granted I am a vegetarian but I do not think I'll return back. I came with a few other friends and they felt the same ( and they were meat eaters). We all prefer Indian over this.

We are new to Ethiopian food and found it interesting, fun, and tasty. I enjoy spicy food and their medium spice level was nice without going crazy. The service was great and the premises seemed clean and cared for.

We are frequent guests at the other Ethiopian places in Sacramento, but this may now be the best! Kind staff, delicious food!

I have been hoping for many years that we would have more Ethiopian restaurants options in the Sacramento area. When this restaurant popped up I was so excited and Gursha did not disappoint! We ordered the delish combo and the quanta fifir. Both were delicious but the highlight for me and my husband was the quanta firfir. We plan to come back many more times.

Loved the new Ethiopian place on Douglas in Roseville, Gursha! We got the vegan platter, tofu tibbs, mango drink and hibiscus drink, all great! You can order gluten-free injari there but maybe call a day ahead. They can sub rice also.

Delightful, enjoyable, and delicious. We went here for the first time, the hostess was friendly, kind, and helpful with ordering. My family had never had Ethiopian before so we decided to remedy it. We ordered the Super Meat Combo, a mango drink, a side of rice, and it was pretty filling for us (it says it serves 3 and I think that's accurate for adults). It included Beef Tibs, Chicken Tibs, Lamb Tibs, Doro Wot, and four veggies. Surprisingly, the adventurous kids loved all of it. We're looking forward to returning. Each item was flavorful in its own way. We generally preferred the Beef Tibs, though honestly each one was great and it was really fun to rotate around with so much variety. We ran out of njera so our waitress offered to get us more. We cleaned the platter despite there being so much food. They weren't super fast with cooking it even though we were the first ones in for dinner, so if you need a quick meal this probably isn't for you.

I wish I could give 4 1/2 stars. My husband and I absolutely loved our food and the server ?she may be the owner?) was very kind and helpful as she explained items on the menu to us. I got a chicken combo and my husband got the. Red combo. With each item, you can choose two of their vegetable sides (of which there are many!). He chose a cabbage and carrots side and a salad and I chose the chickpeas and lentils. All were delicious. With the combos, you also choose either rice or injera bread. If you choose injera, that is also your utensil for eating, so we both chose that so that we could try it. We tried to go on a lunch break and I would say they are a bit slow for that. I am sure that's because they were preparing food fresh, but now we know we can't really go there on a lunch break. We will gladly return at other times though.

Food was delicious, service was friendly, price is reasonable for the portions. Best in the Sac area!
