First time here, and I have to say that our experience was good. Everyone was very welcoming and had a smile on their faces. Rosie was are waitress, she was very kind and helpful. My husband and I loved that it had an old school dinner atmosphere. BUT with a Mexican twist. We have dined at many dinners across the country and have never came across a dinner (cafe) like this. We will definitely be returning and telling our friends and family about this spot.

I walked in with my husband, we sat at the bar. The restaurant only had two customers at the same table. They were already eating their breakfast. I came in by myself. At around noon time on a Tuesday. The young lady was not efficient at all. I had to ask for every item I needed. Like salt and pepper, utensils. I did notice two males walked in. She was definitely focused on being a social butterfly with them. Making jokes, etc. I requested a cup of coffee. And just watched her continue to do her interactions. Kept flirting and playing around with male customers as she ignored my request. Even though I said, please when asking for my coffee. 10 minutes went by. We kept looking at her but nothing. Requested our bill and I we left the food. Food was terrible by the way. Fake can salsa. not freshly made. Can enchilada sauce on my husband’s Chilaquiles. Awful

Breakfast was good to very good. Potatoes were prepared as requested. The eggs varied from well prepared to over cooked. Coffee and drinks were never empty. The servers were efficient. The interior is best described as clean. Not modern nor rustic.

El Cerrito has a weekend favorite! It gives the comfort of a family business and the food is consistently good! Love the chilaquiles!

Upon arrival we were greeted and seated right away. Server was very friendly. It's your typical classic diner which I like, makes you feel at home. We came for the breakfast which must be what there known for because it was amazing. I had the Cerritos breakfast burrito with the egg over easy. My god... my daughter had a pancake breakfast and my wife had there skillet. All the food was fresh and taste like it was definitely made with love. We will be returning
