It looked really edgy and they were selling hella merch. I respect the Hawaii history plaques and portraits of Hawaii historical figures. Ok I got the chefs plate and the chicken was real good and the poke was pretty good too. The Mac salad was nothing special but the real bummer was how the plate was mostly rice. For $25 it was definitely overpriced but it’s costamesa so what do you expect I guess. Also the owner has like this gangsters personality that kinda cringe.

This is our second visit to this restaurant and we just have to order the Da “Spicy” Plate again because it has the best combination. This plate comes with a combination of their Guava Chili Pepper Chicken, Spicy Ahi Poke, Crispy Korean Chicken, Rice & Mac Salad. Both chickens are worth trying, they’re so good. The spicy ahi poke sauce is sticky, and sweet, with a little hint of spiciness! If you want to try a little bit of everything this plate has the best combination as you can try 3 different things from their menu. Definitely coming back again!

This place was packed when I visited and they executed! Line went quick, food came out fast, and atmosphere was upbeat and lively. ‘Ai Pono is a well oiled machine. Also - food was fantastic. I did the crackhead chicken with extra mac. Highly recommend!
