One of the best places in Orange County for Chicago deep dish style pizza. All those folks who criticize the thought of deep dish pizza have clearly never tried it as it’s incredible delicious coming from someone like myself who was a skeptic. Highly recommend the stuffed deep deep dish carnivore as the seasoned meats pairs perfectly with the red sauce, cheese, & in the incredibly buttery crust. As a great sign of respect to this place, I would describe that pizza as a michelin star version of a pepperoni pizza hot pocket.

Closest thing to Chicago pizza I've found in OC. As soon as I walked in I smelled the delicious air and was instantly transported to my hometown. I wanted to bottle that smell. Our waitress was very attentive, friendly and helpful. The parmesan fries were nice and hot with good flavor. I was expecting melted, shredded Parm and this was more the drier, granulated kind but it was still very good. The pizza was Soo delicious almost exactly like what I was used to at home. Let it be known that most Chicagoans do not eat deep dish on the regular. We eat Chicago thin crust aka tavern because it's cut into squares. So that's the pizza I'm referring to here. The toppings were generous and quite fresh. The cheese was tasty and had a nice stretch to it. The sausage was just like sausage from a European deli which is customary on a Chicago pizza. Chain restaurant sausage is a poor substitute. What I would say needs a little improvement is the crust. It needs to be crispier and baked more. It was floppy and slightly raw. I even put my leftover in a toaster oven for quite a while and it never got crispy so that's to do with the dough recipe. The other thing is that it needed a little more sauce. I really didn't taste much at all. Also, it could've used a little fennel seed. It's a common, basic ingredient in Chicago pizza but not every place uses it. It does however add a special something to the flavor profile. The pizza was what I'd been craving for months and it hit the spot. Thank you so much Rance's!

Today I learned that I am not yet a fan of Chicago Pizza. This is the first time I have tried Chicago style pizza and I was not sure what to expect. We ordered the stuffed deep dish, paninis, and garlic bread. The paninis and garlic bread were great. When the pizza came out it looked great but I have to say I didn’t enjoy it. I feel like this is not Rance’s fault, you see when it comes to the construction pizza, I am surely brainwashed. As such, I simply can’t review this pizza till I try their pan or thin style pizza or until I try other Chicago style pizza so I have a frame of reference. However, I can review the staff and other food we ate the they were great. I will try Rance’s again and report back.If you are like me and want to try something new I wouldn’t hesitate to tell you to give Rance’s a try.

Our dine-in experience was initially enjoyable, with Natalie, our server, providing friendly and helpful service during our first visit. We ordered a salad and two pizzas, thin crust and deep dish, and later packed up the leftovers to share with family. Unfortunately, a few hours later, I experienced food poisoning, and my brother found a piece of cardboard in the deep dish.My husband contacted the restaurant, informing the manager of the situation and emailed the photo of the cardboard baked into the pizza slice upon request. Despite providing evidence, the manager seemed to be doubting us, suggesting it was probably the pizza box liner. We clarified that their liners are white, while the cardboard was brown. The manager told us he would let his boss know and call us back. The manager's boss contacted us and asked if it was the pizza box liner because the manager had told him that it was. We explained that it wasn't and he requested that we email him the photo as well. Despite enjoying our dine-in and understanding that mistakes happen, the manager's handling of the situation and miscommunication with his boss left us frustrated. While hesitant to leave a negative review, the unnecessary complications soured an otherwise pleasant experience.

Rance Chicago Pizza offered an interesting pizza experience. While it wasn't my favorite due to an abundance of sauce and pepperoni, the redeeming factor was the delicious and thick dough. If you enjoy a heartier crust and don't mind a saucy and pepperoni-heavy topping, this might be your go-to spot. Personal taste aside, the quality of the dough is commendable.

If you're craving some authentic Chicago deep dish pizza, this is as close as you'll get in California. Now, it's not exactly the same, but hey, we can't teleport the whole city here, can we? So, here's my recommendation: order the pizza and then try their wings. Trust me, they are the bomb! The sauce on those wings is finger-lickin' good. Just be careful not to let your girlfriend catch you licking them, unless you want to explain yourself later. Now, fair warning, if you're in a hurry, getting a Chicago-style pizza here might take around 40 minutes. It's probably best to order takeout if you're on a time crunch. There's usually a line during peak hours and on weekends. But fear not, they have a great selection of beers on tap and a few TVs to help pass the time while you wait. Oh, and let me debunk what the other reviewers say about the service. In my experience, the service here rocks! Our waitress was on top of everything, from refilling our drinks to cleaning our table. Top-notch service, I tell ya! Trust me, it's worth the wait.

Had high hopes heard this was true Chicago pizza. Nope. It had a soggy crust, no sausage patty cooked first etc all the things that make Chicago deep dish what is, wasn’t here. It’s just a thick pan crust. Pizza Huts pan pizza crust is even better. Ginos East I miss you!

We came here with our friends who highly recommended this place. We ordered the deep dish. The crust was good but I found it was too soggy and the tomatoes were too raw for my liking. I also think it was a bit too soggy. The service was excellent though. Nonetheless it was a great experience eating the deep dish pizza for first time .
