Let me start by saying my ten year old loved everything and that the waitresses were great. However, after having been to New Orleans about a eight times over the years. nothing, not the trout, the red rice, the calamari or the sweet potato fries tasted like anything from New Orleans. The trout has a very sweet spice on it and was blackened but a little over cooked. The fries were dry, no seasoning but came with a buttery dipping sauce. The calamari was also breaded with little seasoning, if any. The red rice was just plain rice with enough tomato to appear red. The broccoli was without salt or butter or anything. There were no flavors that were reminiscent of Louisiana, even though everything appeared to look like it should. The clam chowder was pretty tasty, lots of potatoes and clams and thyme. I'd definitely order that again but I probably wouldn't return. Maybe I'm just picky here because I'm comparing this food to that of Cajun restaurants in New Orleans.

Pros - They're honest that during off-season the crawfish is frozen (not fresh/live). - Spacious parking lot, easy to find parking. - Love the dozen raw (but expensive) oysters! Now I know I can come back here for fresh oysters. - Attentive, caring, and polite waiters/waitresses. - Nice, comfortable, friendly ambience. - Various kinds of well-known seafood available. - They lay a wide paper mat on the table, so cleaning and preparing the table for the next party is efficient. Cons - I've given them a total of 3 calls. The first 2, nobody answered, which was discouraging. The third one (occurred the day after) went smoothly and friendly though. - The outdoor window menu is blocked by a fat plant, so you have to awkwardly stand around/behind the plant to view the menu. - The bibs don't have a catch (a fold) at the bottom. So sauce might drip onto your lap. - If you order 2 seafoods in a bag of different seasoning/spice level, you don't get the free corn. I forgot that part. It would've been nice if the waitress reminded me. - The Extra Mild spice level was a bit much for my sensitive mother. And none of the sauces suited her (she's also sensitive to butter (animal fat), and I think all the others have some level of spice). Wish they wrote "Plain" right above "Extra Mild". - And she got some digestive poisoning the next morning. Perhaps a few of the crawfish were spoiled, but she barely noticed til at least after swallowing the seafood. - (gripe) The Dungeness crabs are 1.5 lb, and it's $28/lb. Funnily, that confused me, and I'm a math student. It would've been more straightforward if they simply labeled the crabs $42/pc. - They did their last call early (around 8:40p); I think last call is supposed to be 9pm. - The M restroom door handle seems broken. And it's only single occupancy. Meaning, it would be disastrous if just one restroom breaks down. A good restaurant should have at least 2 (stalls) per gender. - Once you're seated, the menu is viewed via QR code. That means they assume everyone has smartphones with mobile data. I think it'd be better if they placed the menus under a large square glass right on the tabletop. That way, everyone could place their orders without holding their smartphones and without the hassle of holding and returning physical menus. (Especially with KC's messy eating style, you DON'T wanna be touching your phone between courses.) After ordering, the waiter could place the paper mat over that glass. I don't like looking at my phone a lot. Also, the smartphone is one of the dirtiest things around, since we're always touching it. It's not hygienic to touch dirty things right before you eat. And almost no one bothers to wash their hands right before they eat. I suppose I could've tried asking if they have a physical menu. But that's the next dirtiest thing after a smartphone. Noise level: medium. We had: - 1 dozen oysters - 1 KC Gumbo Soup (no rice) - 2 Bags of crawfish (mild, lemon pepper) - 1 Dungeness crab Total = ~$130

Our first time at kickin crab and it was so good! So much flavor. Rice tasted off but nothing too bad. During our visit a man came in and was extremely rude to almost all of the staff. He was arguing about some sauce he insisted on getting for free. Each one of the ladies that helped him were incredibly professional. 10/10 to them. They were also super helpful with us and getting everything we needed! 10/10 recommend this place!

Love love love Kickin' Crab and this location! Staff are super nice and the food is always delicious. My favorite combo is the head on shrimp and clams in kickin' style (their blend of all sauce options). A must get is also the garlic noodles. Also tried the fried calamari appetizer tonight and yum! Restaurant and bathrooms are clean plus all staff members are still wearing masks. My favorite spot to satisfy seafood cravings!

Prompt take out process. Ordered on my way home from work then picked it up 10-15 minutes after I ordered. It wasn't crowded when I walked in on a Tuesday evening.

First time here to celebrate early fathers day with my babies. Been coming to cali alot and would usually go to Joe's Crab Shack or San Pedro Fish Market. This place blows them away by far, I love good food and good service. Highly recommend this place. This is my 1st place im heading up for seafood from now on. This hungry big boy cant wait to come back lol. Keep up the awesome service and never lose your touch of flavor.

Took almost an hour to get out to go order. Took our order told us to go wait by side door and it will be out in 20 minutes. Needless to say 40 minutes pass, so we ask and the guy said our ticket did not print and it will be another 10 minutes. Got the food tenders over cooked and food had no flavor. Soo disappointed.

Super Disappointed in this location, The order of wings were so small,no flavor and covered in oil...Pasta Alfredo portion were child like. If I had taken the wings next door to the Korean Chicken place and showed them, they would have laughed their A$$'s off...LOL. I would have been embarrassed to serve them...I expected Boiling crab like Wings and got wings that should have been tossed....Never Again
