We come to Crescent City at least once a year for a quick getaway and we usually stick to our regular restaurants, but this visit we found that most places were closed earlier than expected so we thought we would "settle" for Denny's. This was BY FAR the best food we have both ever had at any Denny's! The food was so flavorful without being too salty, the side dishes were excellent and each had their own distinct flavors; and to top it all off, the staff was the friendliest we've ever encountered. They were attentive, friendly, professional, and just overall pleasant! Don't sleep on this Denny's as an option, they will not let you down!

Denny's never disappoints. Mom and I usually always get the same food every time we visit. We went to the Apple Peddler a couple weeks ago and their food was not fresh and it was cold and tasteless. We won't be going back. Dennys has Apple Peddler beat hands down. We will continue to go to Denny's for our weekly lunch with our best friends.

My sister loves their BBQ burger, so I thought I'd try one with her. It is a tasty burger, a Bourbon bbq glaze, grilled pepper onions, and mushrooms. Multiple napkins are needed! I dug in and forgot to take a proper picture. Sticky fingers. Their fries are also good as we got the bigger ones.

They have stepped up their game in grown up options. My grandson had the lasagna and loved it. Fast, friendly service, quick to ask about refill, ect.Kid-friendliness: Kids all love going to Dennys, kid menu with lots of options.
Excellent service but food left much to be desired. Especially pancakes - was expecting fresh fruit on top of them not

The website says they open at 5:30 am, we arrived at said time, found out from a few locals that the Danny's make up their own hours, they didn't open until 8 am, I order the T-bone and I was not impressed with the portion size and the steak was about 40% fat, entirely short staffed and I overheard one of the waitress state that she was not feeling well, luckily for me, she was not our waitress

Ordered food on our drive along 101 for takeout. The food was great and well packed. Plenty of parking in the lot. The only thing I didn’t like is the fact that for the takeout they added 1 ketchup and a single fork for an order of 6 different items. Apart from that, the staff was very friendly when picking up the order and the food was good.Parking: 30 spots.

Thanksgiving lunch [Crescent City CA] Hubby and I decided to take a road trip this Thanksgiving year. We stopped by this Denny's in Crescent City and had a late lunch since most restaurants and businesses were closed (or closed early) to celebrate the holiday. Denny's (aka "America's Diner"), has more than 1600+ restaurants all over the U.S. with a big menu ranging from omelets, pancakes and crepes, to steaks and fried chicken. I just noticed that they had seafood on the menu! I ordered the Wild Alaska Salmon meal. It actually tasted pretty good! Hubby had a Build-Your-Own Grand Slam. That was our Thanksgiving meals. LoL! It was good, at least it was a hot meal. The diner was full. Service was okay, not the best. Maybe our server wasn't too happy she had to work during the holiday. Oh well. Review #3239
The food is excellent although it takes a bit of time to get. Service is a little slow but they are very friendly.

This Dennie’s has a sign on the front door that says, “No private restrooms.” I didn’t know if that applied to customers or if I just had to wait until I left to pee. They have one waitress. When I arrived an impatient guest requested a milkshake to go because he was impatient with her snail’s pace. That is actually unfair to snails. Another table wasn’t ready to order. I told her I was ready to order. She said, “Another table is ahead of you.” This was one of the least coherent statements I have ever heard. So passive aggressive. She makes the character Dolores Umbridge from Harry Potter seem friendly. When she finally deigned to take my order 20 minutes after I arrived, I asked ,”What is the soup of the day?” She said, “Soup and salad are no longer free sides.” I said, “I didn’t ask whether they were free or not, it clearly says on the menu that I pay for them. I simply asked what the soup of day was. She made a face, with her facial piercings it was scary. Then she got the order for a nearby table wrong. She kept saying she was busy even though she worked at a glacial pace. I would have left, but after 9:00 PM in Crescent City there are no other options. The steak wasn’t very tender, the corn was cold in places and warm in others—probably microwaved. The other workers appeared friendly and hard-working.

We came in late and tired so we weren't real chipper. So for that i will say we were treated well and our server was more than helpful. She was very busy and still managed to put a smile on her face and serve us well. The staff seemed to work well together and seemed efficient in what the were doing.Dealing with tired traveler's late at night is one of the hardest jobs that was ever created.
