Had to say the scheduling is not good. Wait here for almost 2 hours. Keep checking and was telling “ soon”. Waste of time

it’s a long ago experience but I have to say… very terrible experience and unprofessional Staff. I came to buy a new glasses first time the people are good, however, when there’s a problem with my glasses and I go to a second time want to fix it, things changed. I wait for one hour and when the staff heard I am not buy a new glasses he just ignore me. And I wait and wait no one cares about me. They just said we are busy…and continue goes to other customers who came after me! In the end, I just waste my time… never go to this place again….

We have been going to Golden Vision for our kids' eye exams for several years, but we had a bad experience during checkout this morning. One of the staff members insisted we pay a co-pay that didn't exist. Moreover, when we asked if he could bill and we pay later, as we didn't have our FSA card with us, he said we had to pay by card or cash before leaving. Consequently, I made the payment with my regular card and later double-checked with the reception desk. Thankfully, the receptionist was friendly and managed to correct everything. Without her help, my rating would have been even lower.

They didn’t accept my insurance but they lie to me! After I arrived there were nobody mention that they didn’t accept VSP. So I waited 3 weeks and paid extra 85$ dollars for my should-be-free annual eye exam! I was supper disappointed because I need to make another appointment who accept my insurance, then I am able to purchase contact lenses with my insurance benefit! It’s hard to book an appointment during December! Why waisted the customers money and time and why lied to costumer!?!

Did not reveal that they changed insurance networks until the appointment time. They overbook appointments and make patients wait for 45m to 1 hr.Consultation was great

My wife and I have been loyal members of Golden Vision for over a decade, and we have always cherished the convenience, accessibility, and the welcoming environment that this eye care provider has offered to our community. We chose Golden Vision not only for its proximity to our residence but also because it provides services in our preferred language, and it offers weekend appointments to accommodate our busy schedules. However, recent developments within the vision care industry have given rise to concerns that affect not only our family but also many of our fellow members at Golden Vision. The issue at hand pertains to the actions taken by VSP (Vision Service Plan), which has significantly disrupted the services we have come to rely on and trust. In light of these developments, I urge all Golden Vision members to stand together and take action against VSP by filing a formal complaint with both VSP's grievance department and the state regulator, the Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC). It is essential for us to understand that VSP exists solely because of its membership base, which means that we, as members, have the power to shape the course of our eye care choices.VSP should not have the authority to dictate where we seek our eye care services or to arbitrarily shift members to alternative providers. Such actions not only violate the principles of choice but also run contrary to the very essence of good business practice. It is imperative that we hold VSP accountable for these actions and ensure that they respect our rights as consumers.By voicing our concerns and registering our complaints, we can collectively advocate for our right to choose the eye care provider that best suits our individual needs and preferences. This action is not only for the benefit of our families but also for the well-being of our community as a whole. In conclusion, I strongly encourage each Golden Vision members to take a moment to file a formal complaint with both VSP and the DMHC to protect our right to choose our eye care provider. Let us come together to ensure that VSP upholds the principles of transparency, fairness, and respect for its members.

Their front desk representatives are incredibly unprofessional. - - -They never reply to my appointment request text (that number is still listed on their main website). I had to call them three times to confirm the need for my lens, and they claimed they'd triple-checked that it would be covered by insurance. On the day of my first appointment, they said I couldn't use my insurance until tomorrow, so I had to make a second appointment.A few days later, my second appointment, I arrived on time and waited for them for another 10 minutes because they were short-staffed. And when they had time to help me check-in. They told me they don't work with my insurance provider ??… so I canceled the appointment and left. All the time and effort were a joke.Unpleasant experience.Period.

They no longer accept VSP starting Oct 2023.... Wish they can resume covering VSP. Hope this save you a trip to the store.

First time going to this office for a 4pm annual eye exam. Coming in 3:50pm and waited for an hour before it’s my turn. The process went very smoothly once it’s my turn to see the eye doctor. And the lady who helped me to picked my glass frame is super helpful.Today I just got my progressive glasses and I am really happy for the clearness it turned out to be!I would have gave the store a 5 star rating if it’s not for the long wait.

Profits over patients. I guess that is the trend towards eye care these days. My previous optometrist of 30 years passed away (RIP Dr. Fujimoto) and I had to look for a new doctor. I went off the Yelp reviews and decided to book an appointment. The doctor was very good, but she's clearly the employee of a bigger operation, and it's the operations is very sketchy. Are there any optometrists that own their own practice anymore? I checked off some eye dryness, and after the exam, some woman tried to talk me into three procedures to "treat" my dry eyes...total cost would be $3000...Would I be interested? Um, no thank you. Then it came to billing for services....they said the needed two fittings for my contacts ($140 each)...um that should be part of the service, no? My old optometrist would have me put my new contacts in, check a couple of things, and I would be out of there in 5 minutes. Even with insurance my total OOP would be a whopping $503. That just didn't seem right and I just got a bad feeling. Note: when your gut is trying to tell you something, listen to it! I called the next day and said that I would not be utilizing them to order my contacts and wanted a refund. The lady asked me to come back with the credit card to reverse the charges....So I went back and the receptionist couldn't do it so the store manager helped me and said "store credit right?" Ummm, NO. I wanted the charges reversed. He then credited my credited card and I walked out. BTW, if you don't speak Mandarin, prepare to be talked about and talked around. I understand some but really rude to speak a different language in front of the customer.

The store placed the wrong prescription lenses degree!Due to the eye degree difference, the doctor recommends 5.25 on my left eye, which has been used for for other years. The store placed 5.25 for my previous 2-3 glasses, until last year, they placed 6.25 on the glass without my agreement. It caused me extremely uncomfortable, dry from the eye. My eye fainted 0.25 degree in this year.Initially, I thought it might because I used computer too much, now in my annual exam, I was been told the glass was not been placed under the right request!I am super upset with this store! I requested the manager to resolve this issue, but the manager told me, since it has passed 3 month, there is no much they can do.Come on, that is your employee made the huge mistakes!!
