This place is a solid 4-stars when it comes to quality, tea, and toppings. However, when you combine everything together, the most I feel comfortable giving them is a 3...and that's after coming here semi-consistently for a year during their happy hour (now they're doing bogo). I never paid attention to the importance of a good straw until I've experienced the "eco-friendly" straw here. It's not very eco-friendly if you have to go through several of their straws to finish one drink though...I thought that they would've switched the straws out by now since even their employees know that the straws break easily. Their BEST drink, imo, is the one with their taro paste. Their taro is veryyy good and fresh. However, it is impossible to drink their taro without having it get stuck in the straw/having the straw break before finishing the drink. I do have my own reusable boba straw, but not everyone does, and sometimes I forget to bring my straw...in which case, I'd rather just order their other drinks. My friend ended up throwing away her drink after just taking a couple sips because the straws keep breaking (I cried on the inside...poor taro paste and money being wasted). My next favorite drink is the black sesame with rice puff. It has a strong black sesame taste and the rice puff reminded me of lei-cha, which I loved as a kid. Their other drinks are pretty good quality, as you would expect from a reputable boba store. Aka, it's not worth the $7-8/drink. Do take advantage of their Happy Hour, BOGO, or other discounts, which makes their drink prices competitive with other stores. The drink options feel very limited from the snackpass app for some reason, so I sometimes like to order in person if I'd like more customization. Btw, I remember liking the boba size (slightly smaller) and the straws from their other locations better, so I guess each location does things differently too.

I was visiting family over Christmas and stumbled upon this place after reading pretty good reviews from my fellow Yelpers. We came here for the first time on a rainy night and when we opened the door, a strong sewage smell permeated the entire store. My husband and daughter elbowed me to quickly order the drinks so they can step outside. First of all, you have to place your order using the machine. They had a BOGO special so we took advantage of it. We ordered the following drinks:Chrysanthemum w/lemon (iced) - 1/5. I like chrysanthemum and I like lemon. Pretty straightforward, right? Nope, it was bad. Tasted sour like something had expired.Oreo Brown Sugar Boba (iced) - 3/5. My daughter had this drank and said it was meh. Better at Sunright.Classic Black Tea Latte (iced) - 3/5. Classic drink made "meh."Thai Tea Latte (iced) - 3/5. Another classic drink made "meh."Sorry, this joint was disappointing. Even with their BOGO special, we, unfortunately, will not be coming back.

I tried their brown sugar boba a while ago and really liked it, esp bc the sugar level is extremely as adjustable. This time, we saw the BOGO promo and decided to give them another try. We got the brown sugar taro milk and matcha latte. I wish the brown sugar taro milk came with a hot option (saw on Yelp reviews that it did at one point) but unfortunately this time the guy behind the counter said no. I took it home and microwaved it and it was really good warm. Can't say the same for the matcha latte, was very watery and would not recommend.Parking: Very crowded parking lot in a shopping center with other restaurants

Current BOGO deal is a steal! Depending on what you get, it's $7-8 for 2 drinks w/ toppings :)I got the Uji Matcha w/ Crema which made the drink deliciously creamy and perfect for a good matcha craving :) Service is quick and you order on a kiosk -- I like this because you can see your options. Also can order via app to apply BOGO. Seating is limited, but definitely a great spot to settle down with friends and catch-up. Parking is plentiful but shared with many other shops in the complex, so may take a round or two to find something close by during peak hours.

Hyped up too much!! Literally came here with the BOGO free deal and I still don't plan on coming here again. The boba was alright, just extremely mediocre. Ordered the strawberry Mango Yogurt Ice (7/10)Jasmine Green Tea Latte with Crema (4/10)Fresh Milk with Brown Sugar Boba (6/10)Fresh Milk with Brown Sugar Boba & Crema & Oreo (5/10)Maybe our drinks were prepared oddly but I did not enjoy it. The service was quick and we used an automated kiosk to order the drinks - the user interface of the kiosk was extremely confusing as it took about 10 minutes to input our order and make sure we got the BOGO free deal!! The ambiance was alright, it's not really a place to hang out - more of a grab and go place. Definitely could be better and I would rather go to Tenren Tea across the street.

Saw that all drinks are $4.50 (extra toppings excluded) on their insta story "until further notice," so run, don't walk for this great deal!!!!!! We got: Fresh Milk with Brown Sugar Boba and Egg Pudding (4/5): The boba is warm, chewy, and soaked in honey-- clearly fresh and one of the best in the Bay. Egg pudding flavor was very faint, almost couldn't taste it. In terms of sweetness, I recommend getting 100% since it's less sweet than I had expected. I normally get 75%/less sweet in my boba especially since egg pudding and brown sugar is already pretty sweet, so I decided to select 70% sweetness in my boba but I think it could definitely use more sugar.

Yum!!! Strawberry mango yogurt ice is delicious. And then toppings on top of it for texture. I like how it doesn't taste overly sweet or syrupy.

This is in the Ranch 99 shopping complex so it can get busy but there is ample parking. I got the Fresh Milk with Brown Sugar Boba. It was creamy and flavorful!

Located near mainstreet Cupertino, parking is plentiful and at times difficult to find. The interior is a minimalistic theme. Fresh Milk With Brown Sugar Boba & Crema (5/5): super creamy and flavorful. The boba was super well made. Quite chewy and soft. Tap to pay is accepted. Truedan stacks up quite well to the competition but I'm afraid it does fall short. However overall, Truedan is a delicious place for some top notch boba.

The shop is located inside a plaza so parking was super easy and free. I came at night and it was empty so drinks were made in like 5min. Big tip: order through snack pass (15% first order + spend $10 and get a free drink) 8/10 Jasmine Milk Tea Latte with Crema - I got 70% sugar and it felt like 30%. I think they naturally are on the not sweet side so just get regular sweetness. Tea flavor was light and crema on top very good but stuck to the seal so you will need to shake before drinking.

This Truedan location is in a big, but very busy plaza in Cupertino. There is parking in the plaza, but it may be hit or miss. Even though this location is not that close to me, it is nice to have one where I do not have to pay toll and cross the bridge to get to. I feel like they are a bit more consistent with the drinks here as well. I tried multiple of drinks at this location, which includes their Black Tea Latte with Crema, Black Tea with Roasted Buckwheat, Brown Sugar Boba & Tofu Pudding, Fresh Milk with Brown Sugar Boba, Fresh Milk with Brown Sugar Boba & Crema & Oreo, Honey Lemon Chrysanthemum Tea, Jasmine Green Tea Latte with Crema, Mango Coconut Ice, Sesame Latte with Puffed Rice, and Uji Matcha Pudding Ice. The Black Tea Latte with Crema had a strong black tea taste with a subtle creaminess to it. It was on the sweeter side compared to the jasmine one. The Black Tea with Roasted Buckwheat at 70% sugar was a bit on the sweeter side. The tofu pudding was a good add-on to it along with the boba. The black tea taste was stronger with a subtle buckwheat taste. The tofu pudding reminded me of the Chinese tofu dessert. The Fresh Milk with Brown Sugar Boba had a strong brown sugar taste to it, it tasted like a brown sugar milk and 50% sugar was a good sweetness. The Fresh Milk with Brown Sugar Boba & Crema & Oreo was pretty sweet at 50% sugar, 30% might have worked out better. It was pretty good, the brown sugar and cream went well with the Oreo crumbs - be sure to mix well. The Honey Lemon Chrysanthemum Tea was very floral with a strong tea taste to it. The grass jelly add-on went well with my drink and it reminded me of my childhood - get it at 70% for a good tea taste and it was not overly sweet. The Jasmine Green Tea Latte with Crema was a good sweet (not overly sweet) at 70% sugar. It had a good cream and tea mix. The Mango Coconut Ice reminded me of the tangy taste of mango, the coconut milk was a good addition to the drink, even though I do not like coconut and the agar jelly was a good addition as well. The drink had a good sweetness to it. Be sure to mix well for the subtle coconut taste. The Sesame Latte with Puffed Rice had a very strong sesame taste to it - great for sesame lovers. I liked the rice puff, it went well with this drink and for this particular drink, you may not add toppings, you may only adjust the ice - it was very creamy, but gritty. The Uji Matcha Pudding Ice had a good matcha taste to it, it reminded me of a matcha smoothie. The pudding was a good fit for this drink, it was not too slimy or soft which I liked - the drink had a good sweetness and was not that icy as well. The boba was on the chewier side, but it had a good brown sugar taste to it.

Ordered a fresh milk with brown sugar and fresh taro, 50% sweetness as the fresh taro is already sweet. I would go for 25% sweetness if I try again. I would say the taro tastes good. It's basically taro milk. I couldn't taste the brown sugar.

We came to buy some drinks here. It was a little busy but it was also a very warm day. There were a lot of drinks that sounded good on the menu. We decided on the Jasmine Tea Latte with Brown Sugar & Fresh Taro ($6.75) and the Fresh Milk with Brown Sugar Boba ($6.75). It took a long time for our drinks to come out because there were so many people ahead of us. The Jasmine Tea Latte with Brown Sugar & Fresh Taro was tasty to me and the Fresh Milk with Brown Sugar Boba was good to me. Either one of those would be good to try out in my opinion if you didn't know what to order. I would probably try something else the next time I come to the area. Good drinks at Truedan and I'll be back in the future.

My experience at Truedan was mixed. My husband and I went on a Wednesday night. It's located in Cupertino square and is near Jell and Chill and some other shops. The parking can be tricky as the plaza gets super busy! The store was empty and we ordered off the kiosk. We were in the mood for brown sugar boba so we ended up getting that with 70% sugar. My husband waited 25 minutes for the boba because they forgot about him. This was quite surprising since we ordered off the computerized system AND were the only ones there. The least Truedan could have done was given us our drink free due to this mistake but they didn't even have the integrity to do that. We did like our drink- it was about $8 with tip which honestly wasn't worth it after what happened. I don't think I'll come back again either.
