Great selection of beers and ciders. Pizza was great and the servers are friendly and helpful. My friends spent the afternoon there, trying different beers and playing board games. Looking forward to going back soon.

Just stopped in for a beer. West coast IPA called Freedom Hazy. It was excellent. I wish I was hungry as the Detroit style pizza smelled amazing.

I've visited this place about four or five times now over the last few years, and each visit has brought a mix of thoughts.
On the positive side, the beer selection is great from lager to IPA's of all % and IBU's, and the pizza is surprisingly tasty for a little tray, albeit on the "pricier side" and kudos to the melted cheese crusty on the side.
However, something is and has been off; the consistent lack of customers, the overall atmosphere, and the management’s demeanor have left me with a feeling of regret after each visit.
The concept of a "beer spot next to a theater" might have been a great idea when it started. But with theaters now selling beer and pizza themselves, the uniqueness of the business has diminished. Anyone who's been to a movie recently knows that theaters, in general, are struggling too. However, location, location, location still rings true today, and lets add awful microclimate.
As a customer, it’s hard not to notice the energy in the place. The once-passionate vibe has faded, and it reflects in how customers are treated. It seems like the challenges of running the business have taken a toll, and the responses by the owner to feedback, both in-person and their responses here on review platforms online, come across as defensive, snarky and rude rather than constructive or appreciative.
Wow! I took a moment to read his responses to negative feedback and all my "feeling sorry for the burnt-out guy with a failing business idea" to now "The coldness of that building is the coldness he gives online too". Best Wishes dude!

Gilman makes some of my favorite beers in the bay area. Always try to stop by when I'm in the area!

Visited yesterday after watching movie with family at nearby theatre. Beer and food were great. High top tables are OK for two people but small for our family of four. We got two pizzas and appetizer so table space was tight. Service was quite poor, guy wouldn’t allow us to push two tables together so we had to put pizzas on chairs. His reasoning was that it was going to get busy but place was pretty empty. Not sure if this place will survive at this location but not family friendly.
Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly
Only high top tables that cannot be put together, so not good for families

I guess they’re waiting to go out of business. 3 beers on tap when I went, and none of their selections available to go. No one to take your order, just a kiosk that tells you what they don’t have. Empty room with slow service. More of a standard pizza to go place than a taproom.
Kid-friendliness: More kids than adults.

I’m not sure ? how my total went to $79+ for two order of pizza and one small glass of their guava beer and a bottle of root beer , I just saw my bank statement today and i was kinda surprised on our bill . I should’ve ask for a receipt but the guy who took our order is kinda dry like he’s getting forced to work there ,not even smiling .

Been here twice. I want to like this place, and the beer is good enough, and the pizza is fine for that style, but what kind of monster that hates their staff and doesn't understand that cash is making you more money prices a beer so that it comes out to $8.04? Every pro bartender I know would round that to 8 and make it up on the tip jar at the end of the night to just speed up service. They only had two people on staff, one person making pizzas, and one person literally doing everything else in the shop. Dude was doing his best, and did me a solid with a free halfie later when the keg blew on my order and he was in the weeds, so it's not his fault. The owner(s?) are obviously some people with a MBA and a business plan and no service experience that decided to spend money on branding their 3 different kinds of to-go containers and little sheets of paper under the pizzas over staff. And this location specifically just feels like a pub-in-a-strip-mall in suburban Dallas. Is it a business park? is it a restaurant? is it a pub? And for real, put some sound-deadening into the space. Yeah, I know, loud and echoey is supposed to make it feel "lively", but the only people coming here are coming from the movies across the square, and if you'd like them to hang out for more than one drink, work on the space a bit more.

I actually really love this place, it’s combined with joyride pizza which is delicious. It’s near some sort of an office building/campus so I wouldn’t necessarily recommend leaving SF to come here (it’s not exactly a bustling little neighborhood with other things to do) but it’s a great spot to grab a beer if you’re local to Daly City.
