Salmon was fantastic. But the sides were meh. The tomato soup was salty and weirdly thick. The roasted veggies were cold and very oily. It wasn’t worth $20 (plus tax and tip).

I wanted to really like this place because I like buffalo chicken fingers and garlic fries . They make their buffalo sauce and it’s not buffalo-y. It kind of tatse like a spicier version of the spaghetti-Os tomato sauce. It’s not that it tasted horrible but it wasn’t good either. I wanted to preserve Mac and cheese but the way it looked on others plates I skipped! I should have. Also their ranch isn’t Ranchy enough it was more like hidden valley than wing stop ranch! I should have just made the 15 min drive to KiKis chicken or a 25 min drive to Angry Chicks.

Strange atmosphere. The slender girl wearing the hat repeatedly interrupted me while I was asking questions. It seemed a bit rude. The food lacked flavor. However, the place was impeccably clean. I won't be returning.

Parking: Parking lot open with many surrounding stores to shop at like Safeway, See's Candy, juice shop, Mexican restaurant and much more.

Ordered through Toast which was super convenient. Our order was ready before we arrived. Located in a small shopping center with many places to eat, snack, and shop from. Plenty of parking. I walked in, there was maybe 3 tables occupied. Two people at the register, I walked up and asked for my order under my name. I was not greeted and the woman kinda gave me a look as if I was inconveniencing her talking to her coworker by asking for my order. She looked at the orders behind her, gave me the bag, I said thank you, and she continued talking with her coworker. ??♀️ Oh yeah, the fries were okay, too. Nothing special. We got a small Urban fries and a small Garlic fries. The garlic was soggy, tasted like the garlic from the jar. The Urban fries were decent. The chili oil is a must, very good and the bleu cheese dressing is really good too. Overall, if you’re craving fries, I’d opt for another place.

I've been going to Jack's Urban Eats for years. I live the ambiance and the food is amazing. The food always tastes fresh and is quick! They have a lot of comfort food options and my personal favorite is the blackened chicken with mango salsa. I will say that it's always a little disappointing that it is not at all "blackened" but it tastes so great, I always end up ordering it again. It is a little pricey since it does not come with sides, but it's also delicious and you will be craving it again. The only reason for the 4 star instead of 5 is because the woman working the counter during my last two visits has been rude and impatient. All the other employees are always friendly and helpful, but I'm not sure why she seems to have some issue with customers. I will say that we ordered twice on the same visit last time because my daughter wanted more mashed potatoes and I tipped above and beyond what I would usually tip both times hoping to make her day better but it did not seem to help.

For 15 dollars you'd hope the sandwich is at least half of your palm, the portioning seems almost child like. This sandwich includes "caramelized" onions, is the caramelized in the room with us? They have no char and are soggy as if they've been steamed. The sandwich is bland and lacks any seasoning or flavor. Highly disappointed and will not be coming back. Jacks used to offer properly portioned, seasoned, and delicious meals that were a wonderful experience. Sad to see

We were on our way to Sacramento but started getting hungry so we found Jack's in Davis.I ordered the Korean BBQ salad and my husband chose "Make Your Own Salad. It was just the right portion and they were generous with the meat on mines.The only thing that was a downer was that if you wanted to add or change a little bit of the order, there are additional fees. I wanted to add jicama and have the sweet potato fries sprinkled with a little bit of garlic. Otherwise, everything else was great.

Seriously, I picked this place to pick up lunch and for their fries. Fries were good but I also got a bbq tri tip sandwich and top piece of the bread is still cold and cheese didn’t even bothered to be melt a bit! What type of a restaurant do not check if they warmed up the sandwich bread enough?! So disappointed! I will get fries from Mc.Donald’s if I need to.

My wife and I have been Davis Jack's Urban Eats customers for some years. Generally speaking we like the food. However, on our last visit we went with friends to eat and chat, get caught up. However, the music was so loud and strident we had to ask the staff to lower the volume. We were told this was not in their control. Now we will have to find another location to eat, meet up with friends and have an enjoyable experience. Unfortunately we cannot have that at Jack's. That's a shame. Our friends here in Davis have made the same comment. Sad!Also have to add the staff is brusque in its actions and the attitude is unfriendly toward customers. The dining experience is decidedly unpleasant. Will not return.
