How do you rate food poisoning? I understand it's getting hard to find people to work. Bad service or poorly presented food is one thing. But food that makes you sick is a whole different ball game, especially when children are involved. Soooo glad for my Charcoal supplement that saved me.We ordered two drinks that we had to send back because they tasted so bad. Apparently their bartender was not there so they were going to try to make a margarita and a Mojito which I don't think is very difficult but apparently was for them. He said they didn't have all the ingredients so try to make what they could. Maybe they used lemon cleaner?Fried chicken was the most Dry fried chicken I've ever had. Pasta was super Duper al dente. Jambalaya was dry and an edible. Calamari had a nice flavored batter but I'm wondering if that's what made me sick. Just got a bad piece.We waited probably 40 minutes for our food. We were charged tip at 18+ percent because we were party of six but then also we're charged a special event fee of $14!? Dinner beware.

A truly five star experience. My server was amazing. The drinks were flavorful. The food was cooked perfectly. I even got a visit from the chef.I had a Caesar salad. Dressing tasted homemade and thick. Crispy lettuce tasted farm fresh.The avocado toast with over medium egg and arugula was yummy. A great choice for anyone who doesn’t want a meat dish.Mac and cheese was rich and full of flavor. I’d love for the top to be flame broiled and have some color to it. Otherwise, a good side dish.The hibiscus mimosa wasn’t strong but it tasty nonetheless.While it’s a bit pricey, I found it totally worth it and be back for more of their events and apparently … bottomless mimosas ?I left there complaining satisfied. We ordered the TTK Smash Burger and Classic Cajun Jambalaya for takeaway and the food was ready when we got there—didn't have to wait long. We're pleasantly surprised! Both the burger and jambalaya were excellent!!! Customer service was good too. Feeling happy we've discovered a nice local restaurant that is basically a gem. Will be ordering from/visiting this place again for sure, and will look forward to trying the other dishes on the menu. Well done Taste This Kitchen ??

Love love love this restaurant. I have been here a handful of times now and it's great each time. The j bird chicken Sandwich does not disappoint!! The Caesar salad with fried chicken added is also amazing. They have game day specials, $7 for a cheeseburger and $3 beers. What a deal. The owner, Greg, is so nice and always says hi to all the tables when he's in. Make sure to check this place out! Sunday brunch menu is amazing, big selection plus mimosas!

I wasn’t expecting Cajun flair in Discovery Bay, but this place has it! Taste This Kitchen is a lovely small restaurant with a welcoming vibe and strong menu. I had the Jambalaya, which was excellent. Spice level offered a good kick without setting me on fire. Delicious flavor and perfectly done rice. My dining companion had what easily the best looking Caesar salad with chicken I’ve seen in ages. She reported that it was delicious while gobbling it down. Friendly and attentive servers as well. Absolutely worth a visit; the menu variety certainly supports coming back for more!

We are new to Discovery Bay and had the pleasure of trying Taste This Kitchen tonight. We are so lucky to have this restaurant right here. This is a very cute spot that manages to be upscale and casual at the same time. Lots of tv's make this a great place to watch a game but also a perfect spot for date night. The menu is varied with a great selection of starters, sandwiches and entrees. I had the pork chop with mashed potatoes and my son had the spicy chicken sandwich. Our food was excellent! Everything came out piping hot and delicious. The quality of the ingredients were evident in both dishes. We also ordered a side of fries for the grandkids and they were perfect. Crispy, salty and hot made them a must order for future visits. Our service was excellent. The young man that was our server was attentive but not pushy and elevated our whole experience. Taste This Kitchen has brunch on the weekend and the menu looks delicious. They also have a kids menu. We will be back for sure! I'm so happy that we stopped in tonight. If you want elevated food ins great setting, then this is the spot for you.

Can't believe we didn't know this hidden gem was here. I've been here about 5 times now and the food wHas always been Great and consistent. I highly recommend trying the specialty drinks they have & the TTK burger. The service was great & the ambiance was welcoming, Greg the owner was welcoming and friendly. Will be back soon!
