Fresh, flavorful donuts. Hot coffee. Lunch sandwiches. I am so glad I made my way in for treat. I like that they take Apple Pay because I just don't carry cash Picked up a classic old fashioned and chocolate sprinkle raised donut for my kid. Service was efficient and the ambiance is very casual and relaxed. No frills. Clean, inviting.

This is the best donut shop in town, and for those who have not discovered it, you are definitely missing out. They also have the best croissant.

I love this place and have been going for years. The quality of food remains fantastic and the owners are so kind and lovely, definitely helps cheer up an early morning. I used to work in a bakery and these donuts here are the best I’ve had since. Very fluffy and doesn’t taste like a manufactured sweet flavor at all (like some corporate chains). Hope to keep going here!

All Star Donuts is one of my favorite places for a quick sweetness kick. I come in about once every week or so for the #4 bagel with cream cheese, cucumber, and tomato, and donut. The woman who works there is always so friendly. She throws in three donut holes every time I come in (and they are so good and fluffy!). My favorite donut is the cinnamon twist. It is huge and I am usually only able to eat half. Seriously, it is huge. There is a small charge if you are paying with card and your total is under $10, but most of the time I find myself spending at least that amount for a few donuts and my bagel. The prices are reasonable and the quality and warmth from the workers are well worth it. There are a handful of tables where you can sit and eat, but there are signs advising you to stay no longer than 30 minutes. I find myself only there for about 15, so that really has never been an issue. Either way, I doubt they are gonna kick you out. This has been one of my favorite places since moving to El Cerrito!Parking: I find myself parking closer to the Ross since parking at the Plaza is pretty tight. If you are lucky you can find something right in front. Otherwise, I'd recommend parking a few aisles away so no one hits you or your car.

Nicest people in the world. I was craving a donut while I was down at the plaza doing some other shopping. All I had was one dollar bill in my wallet. I went in anyway to see if I could buy something for a dollar, maybe some donut holes or whatever. But everything was priced at well over a dollar. The woman working there asked me what I would like. I told her I wanted a doughnut, but I only had a dollar and I would come back. She told me to pick out whatever I wanted and It would cost a dollar. I said to her, really? Yes, she replied. So I picked out a chocolate old fashion, gave her the dollar, and told her that I would return with the additional $.75. She told me I didn't need to do that. The next day I came in with $.75 and an extra $.25 as a tip. I went to the front of the line and told the guy working there that I owed money for a donut. He also told me not to worry about it. He said you don't owe anything. I left the dollar on the counter and walked out. We need more people in the world like the family running this donut shop.
