Today I had made an order through this restaurant through DoorDash, and I was really looking forward to a nice warm food. But instead our order was not only left on the curb of a location that we told the driver detailed description of where we wanted our food to be delivered. Then I tried calling this restaurant back to make a complaint, because I did not receive any continaments, but the rice was dry. The lady who answers the phone couldn't understand me, when I made a complaint about the way the order was prepared.GrubHub delivery service was so much better then DoorDash. As well I will not be ordering food from restaurant again, until they prepare there food better, and take time to understand a complaint.

If you want to get a mound of yummy food for a reasonable price, then I suggest you check this place out! They have trays of food you can choose from and the food is freshly made. You can choose a la carte off their menu or from 1 , 2 or 3 item combo's. It's the El Cerrito Plaza so there is often plenty of parking and the prices are very reasonable for combos which I highly recommend!!

I used to Always eat at Chef's, along with my client, Mrs. A. ? I absolutely love the food here!! Very delicious!!!! They give you large portions..to where sometimes you just have to take some home with you, because you can't eat it all. I love the staff here...Carlos, Mia, Jessie...??? Love It !!! Gr8 Chinese " STEAM TABLE " Ready 2 Go Spot in EL CERRITO PLAZA SHOPPING MALL. Near Trader Joe's. I don't think that Seating Re-Opened after Covid - 19 !!! Too bad !!!!Still a Great Stop for Fresh Hot Chinese Food. Not Halal, but they do have Seafood , Tofu & Veg. Selections. For about $ 13 - 14 one gets 2 Entrees with Rice or Chowmein. Hot Sauces are Available. Servers are ' Friendly & Kind ' !!! Very Hard Working & Conscientious. I wish it was Halal & No Pork Products !!!

Good quality steam table food. Only complaint is they frequently help one customer at a time which is frustrating if they have a slow customer or 2 and you are just waiting to get 2 egg rolls.

This place hits the spot if you're in the mood for Chinese food. I got the #1 combo which is the 1 entree with either chow mein or rice. I got chow mein with orange chicken. The portions are so generous. For the price of ~$8, it is indeed worth it. If you're ordering something with seafood, it is going to be an extra $1.50. They don't really have a dine in but they have outdoor seating. The wait can be a bit since they're busy with online orders and in person orders. Prices are pretty good considering all these price increases! They also accept card and Apple pay :) Definitely recommend this spot for anyone in the EC area!

Chefs has a wor wonton soup that will help when you're feeling a bit under the weather. I always get it from them and feel better within the day. Their other entrees are great as well. It can get a little pricey so try not to order too many individual entrees at once. Otherwise, great food!
