This is some of the best pizza you can get. So fresh and crispy. This place might not be for everyone but give it a chance and you might be surprised!!
Disgusted at how the front young gal and manager were trying to enforce the mask when we were outside, going through the outside door to outside patio where no one was wearing a mask. come to see, they allowed a couple to walk in with no masks in the patio.
Over the top idiotic staff
I placed an order through Door dash for a 12" traditional. The dasher went to go pick it up and they took so long the dasher had to leave. There was second dasher who went to go pick it up. The ETA was off by an hour because they took too long to make 1 pizza and that wasn't the worst part. When the pizza arrived, it was burnt on all sides and they overdid it on the toppings. Idk if anyone has tried anchovies on their pizza but they're salty. I don't think the guy making the pizza has ever tried it either because he just put a ton. See images. There was barley any sauce. So they essentially gave me salty burnt toast for $30.I would have given them a pass if the pizza was amazing, but it was awful. Their response time was horrible, they're food was horrible ???
The menu was kind of limited given it's location. They only have one kind of crossed which is kind of thin, New York style it was above average. We also had salads but the big thing was that the indoor dining was totally closed in full of pizza boxes! Not sure how companies can survive in this kind of climate
Grimaldi's is a long standing small biz quality experience pizzeria, originating in New York and spreading roots in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and many states. They have a shared parking structure with a few business in the area and plenty of seating, though only outdoors at the moment. The wait times vary anywhere from a few minutes to a half hour but are worth the wait as we waited a full thirty. The service is some of the kindness you'll ever have from start to finish. Great outdoor seating with heated lamps and decor throughout, however the tall tables are a little small for salads/starters, pizza and drinks compared to the regular seating. The Grimaldi's House Salad, which was both massive and delicious and possibly my favorite thing here with super fresh chopped veggies of all kinds. The Caprese is also a generous portions. The pizzas are pretty solid and the crust is easy and thin yet crisp, very much like a well made cracker cooked. The sauce is lack luster to me, plenty of tomato, however on the bland side and not a ton of flavor variety though a hint of natural sweetness. I feel like it would pair well with Malbec, Zinfandel for sure or very much so Sangiovese. The additional add on pricing for toppings is bit much especially if you're a veggie lover like me. It can be like one pizza for the price of two. They have gluten-free options but not many vegan ones. You can order a traditional pizza with no cheese/dairy and then load it up with veggies as I did and recommend or keep it classic for all my omnivores and cheese enthusiasts. They are available through some third party apps for delivery and/or pickup. Grimaldi's has an excellent selection of wine, good beer and cocktails, more so than most.Overall a pretty pleasant experience.
Excellent food and relaxing atmosphere, the service is always great . what can be better than a slice of NY pizza and a glass of wine while talking with family or looking at the eyes of your sweetheart.
I came here for lunch on a Monday with 10 coworkers. I showed up at about 11:55 to grab tables for the group as advanced reservations are not allowed. Showing up early wasn't needed as there was plenty of outdoor seating. We were not allowed to pull tables together, so our group sat at adjacent tables. The small salads were still surprisingly large. I liked the antipasto. We enjoyed our pizzas. The food came out reasonably quickly, although this wasn't surprising as we were some of the only people there at the time. The prices seemed a little high but were reasonable. By the time we left at about 1:15pm, it was at about 1/3 capacity.
Ordered a traditional pizza, and it was overbaked and very crispy, to the point of the cheese and crust being burned. By the time it was delivered, the shop was closed and I could not contact them. I am very disappointed, possibly the worst pizza I've ever had. My wife and I went to bed hungry because this was inedible.
Simply the best pizza in the south side of the bay. Rivaled only by Dagwoods. The Brooklyn bridge pizza is fire 1st class
Restaurantji Recommends
Best pizza I have had on the West Coast. Thin and crispy. Just the right amount of sauce and cheese. Great service, friendly staff.
We came in we were greeted hi and took us to the table. Our waiter name was Caesar and he very well respect and has good attitude. He took our drink orders, I ask what does he recommend to order and he ask what if we love meat, I said yes. He recommended The Don Pizza and Brooklyn pizza. And it is the best pizza I ever had. Caesar was on point checking on us. He offer us cheese cake but we were full but we will come back for more n I will try the cheesecake. I hope the manager, general manager And ceo/president recognized Caesar hard work. I hope they see on the camera to recognize his hard work. I hope he is rewarded! I work in restaurants industry and I do recognize hard work and I would love to have an opportunity to have workers like Caesar in my restaurant.
To start with the waitress was very courteous, and pleasant. As for the food, ceasar salad was fresh and good. The pizza was over priced and actually one of the worst pizza's I've ever eaten. Over load of garlic. The outside patio eating area where i was seated, was facing the building and the black canopies that has Grimaldi's on it. Not a nice view! The canopies were filthy dirty, along with bird droppings scattered across all 3 or 4 of them. I would think management would have someone hose them and than hose out the patio area. Not a pleasant area to eat an over priced pizza.
East coast transplant, been looking for decent pizza for a while. Will definitely be back!
Gotta say this is the best pizza around. Always have a great experience here.
