Been living here in El Sobrante for 14 years now and wanted to try this restaurant. Maybe that's why I never went. The cashier was rude. She never gave me a receipt and when I asked for it she rolled her eyes. Train your people are get them off the front line. The food was ok. My chicken was a little dry. Will not go back there. Parking was bad but it was raining. Two thumbs down people.

Ordered 2 burritos for 40$ that contained nothing more than 6 small pieces of steak and the rest rice and beans
For a 20$ burrito id expect a fair serving of meat at least.

It’s ok I guess? Fairly bland Tex Mex. Very expensive for what you get, why is a super basic taquito plate 17 dollars? This seems to be a pattern in formerly-affordable El Sobrante in the post-pandemic era - generic but ‘ok’ local restaurants charging new prices that go well-beyond the increases we see in food hotspots like Berkeley or Albany. This seems especially weird given that rent here is definitely lower than in Albany or Berkeley. Is it a “just because we can” thing? Or a “everyone else is price gouging and I want in” thing, or an “only game in town” thing? Anyway, if you want to pay $22 for some carnitas and beans you can do it here, or go to San Pablo, Berkeley, or Albany to get a better version for $14.

Decent Mexican food. I read reviews prior to visiting Los Cerros. Others complained about dry chicken. I ordered fajita trio with a margarita. Chicken, meat, and shrimp were good. No complaints. Only complaint is Los Cerros only offers one type of margarita. Margarita original tasted like straight up sweet and sour. Couldn’t taste tequila. If you’re going to offer one style margarita, master the drink recipe. One lemon, one shot of tequila, one shot of grand marnier, ice, salt, swear and sour mix, and shake well before serving is my suggestion.

Great Mexican restaurant. I was out in El Sobrante this past February one night and after a long day, I was hungry. I am not usually in El Sobrante, and this restaurant was kind of out of the way and not in an optimal location as far as advertising goes. Great food, atmosphere and service. I would go back. I recommend it.

It's not that great of a place. The owner just sat around not helping the lone server/cashier, which seemed miserable. Food is not tasty and expensive!

Anything that includes shredded chicken is, imho, dry and lacking in flavor. The chili & enchilada combo featured canned beans with a nice Mexican rice (no peppers, or so small it's lacking.) Staff were humble, though authoritarian ('Don't you want...') Atmospheric, may be a different experience; mine was to go. Not honestly worth the dollars I paid, for take out, imho.
Parking: Ludicrous angle. Look and see.

Food is amazing and affordable. Me and my wife frequent here despite living in a different city and having to cross the bridge to get there. Yes the service and food is that good. Best Mexican restaurant in the bay area hands down!.
