What a cute spot! Empanadas and coffee? INTO IT. I had a medical appointment across the street so I decided to work at Moomies for the morning. They have strong WiFi and plenty of quaint seating out front (and more limited seating options inside). I also really like that they have small gifts available! Line magnets, enamel pins, mugs, and a whole rack of cute occasion cards. I got a chai latte with almond milk and it was delicious and ready in a jiff. They have a huge range of breakfast items, sandwiches, and salads for sale. And their baked goods all look and smell delicious. I just had their chicken empanada and it was really flavorful and comforting. Really liked the green dipping sauce it came with. Highly recommend checking this Emeryville spot out!

Went here because I love empanadas and I was not disappointed. Although expensive, the empanadas were delicious and the sauce was AMAZING. But, my favorite thing I got is the Asiago and herb scone. The workers informed me that they were baked fresh in shop and it was the best scone I've ever had! I also got a caramel macchiato and it was perfect. Overall, I really liked this place, kind service and yummy food.

Five stars for those empanadas!! Especially CHICKEN y'all! Try the chicken. I was hesitant at first because I saw so many other options (spicy beef, vegetarian, etc). Chicken is not my typical go-to meat. But BOY, that's my cravings in the morning now. Try it out. They have some tables outside for dining. Their empanadas come with housemade chimicurri sauce. It's never enough for the amount they give. It's too delicious. You'll have to just grab street parking.

DELICIOUS. If empanadas were a bit cheaper, I would get one very day. The salad was HUGE! I added egg salad to my salad and it was delicious. Salad was 100% a good deal. I got the ridicchio salad and switched the cheese for goat cheese. YUM!

Fantastic empanadas and fantastic friendly service! The filling in the beef empanada is an amazing slow braised beef that I can't get enough of!

Oh Moomie's, what a fantastic little gem at the heart of Emeryville. I had the opportunity to visit this place multiple times and tried all their empanadas, several sandwiches, pastries, and mochas. The food is fresh, tasty, and reasonably priced. My wife especially loves their scones, which are soft and freshly baked daily. To me, the main event is their mocha. I am absolutely in love with it every time I get to have one (which is too often), and it is still the best mocha I found in the East Bay to date!!

Recently started working in Emeryville, and stumbled upon this spot by chance. So happy I did! The staff is super friendly and helpful. I tried the Spicy Beef Empanada, and ordered a second one to go after trying it! The chimichuri sauce is SOOO delicious! Also took home an asiago scone. The hot chocolate has the perfect hint of sweetness. Definitely will be become a favorite breakfast spot!

Not the friendliest people in the world. They often seem annoyed at their customers. But great coffee and decent pastries.

This is one of my go to place to get lunch. Their empanada and the sauce is pretty good. Erik the owner has been awesome despite of my not so good experiences before from his staffs. I don't even recall any of those anymore.

My coworker brought me to this little cafe today on a quick coffee break. They're a cafe with some pastries and cookies, but also serve sandwiches and empanadas. The service was swift and the barista was friendly and attentive. I appreciated their dairy alternatives (oat, almond, and soy milk) and it only costs $0.50, which is a fair price for the substitute. There are COVID spacing stickers on the floor to help map the flow of service through the interior. Outside there are tables to sit and enjoy your goodies, but there's also enough standing room to form a social circle. I had to order the iced caramel macchiato with an extra shot, and I wasn't disappointed. The barista gave a generous amount of caramel drizzle and wasn't too heavy with the oat milk. I was able to enjoy the combination of coffee, caramel, and oat milk.

Best empanadas, egg salad sandwich and kale salad. The beef empanadas with the green sauce are delicious and savory. I always complement one empanada and one small kale salad as my lunch. The kale salad has these toast/crispy beans that add a slight crunch. The egg salad is just really fresh with the right amount of Mayo although it can get messy so have napkins handy! Overall love this place.
