Went for the first time and it was really good. We had the opportunity to speak with the owner Kecia who is wonderful. Our waitress (she was so busy I didn’t get her name but she took care of us) was great. Thank y’all for everything.Tried the fried oysters, prawns and fish and it was really good. Also had the yams, greens, Mac and cheese and had the Hennessy cake for dessert. Everything was great, I will definitely be coming back every time I’m in the area.

Rob Ben has the worst customer service. I called and ask is the kitchen open they hung up in my face. Called back thinking maybe it was a mistake then they just pressed button then hung up again. Next time just give your hours would be the smart thing to do. If the service was good as the food they would have a line out the door.

First time here at Rob Ben's.My big Sis is always here when she's in town and raves about the food, but always forgets to bring me. We came after Oakland Fan Fest on a Saturday. The restaurant just opened for the day and I loved the atmosphere. I had a feeling we were going to enjoy our selves. We got the Mama Lynch Combo - 3 Fried Fish, 3 Chicken Wings, 2 Porkchops - 2 sides Mac n Cheese and Greens, extra sides of fries and Yams, and added 2 Green Onion Cornbread Muffins! All of this fed 3 people. I lost all sense of decorum while I was eating, elbows were on the table, hat on my head, finger licking and it was smackin! The food was so good I had to turn my hat to the back! I didn't say a word for 20 minutes - just chewing and dancing in my seat (the music was an Old Skool R&B Mix dream). Once I slowed down and stopped being a glutton, I had a gangsta lean in my booth seat - to the left to the left. Our server was amazing! The family is wonderful, kind, welcoming and friendly. They were putting their feet in everything from the food to the desserts and the drinks! Nothing but love in everything they do. I waddled out the door! 10 out of 10 - highly recommend!

We arrived just as they were opening on a Friday afternoon. I could smell the aromas as we approached the restaurant!! We ordered the Mama lynch that came with fried fish, fried pork chops, and chicken wings.... Our side selections were the red beans and rice, mans and cheese and an extra side of yams... OMG.. the flavors were smacking.. delicious... flavors popping. So good.. our waitress Shawnee , sorry if I misspelled or got your name wrong, was very polite and attentive. She shared that she made the Mac and cheese and red beans and rice with love and that's exactly how the food tasted, lovedFive stars so delicious . When we return to the area, we will be back.

Came here after struggling to find a brunch spot on Sunday and boy am I glad I came to Rob Bens. I got the garlic shrimp and grits and it was delicious. My boyfriend got the smothered oxtails and rice with Mac and cheese and yams as his side and they were amazing! Definitely will need a nap after this meal but it didn’t feel greasy or unnecessarily heavy.The best part of our experience was the service. Both our server and the chef checked on us and made sure we didn’t have to ask for anything. Courteous funny and amazing at anticipating your needs.Definitely recommend and will be back!

I have recently been traveling to the Bay area, and as a CT native, Rob Ben's is a place that can make anybody feel at home. I've had the pleasure of dining there twice and it went from great to greater. I had completely different meals each time and both delicious. The place is always clean and organized, and the staff is warm and welcoming. I've even had the pleasure of meeting Miss Kecia, Shawny and Lil Shawny, who as family team up to make Rob Ben's the best experience ever. The cocktails are unique, perfectly mixed, and never watered down. The service comes with not just a smile but warm greetings and quick response. The food is so flavorful and the portions are enough to give you the "itis". Not to mention the Henny cake, the sauce is finger sucking good!Everytime I touch down in the Bay area, I will be making a stop there. Thank you to the whole staff there.With love, from Connecticut.Parking: Felt very safe parking on front street where the car was very visible.Kid-friendliness: Very professional staff. The yams were just the right sweetness, and the Mac n' cheese is very goodThe service was great, and the prices were very reasonable. I always rate restaurant restrooms, and Rob Ben gets 5⭐️ It was spotless with a fresh scent.Parking: The only con is the parking or lack thereof I still forge through. hats off to the chef and staff.

I came in with a group of about 12 after Church, I was skeptical at first, but I tell you, the food was excellent! I had the turkey wings, friends had the humongous fried seafood plates and smothered porkchops, I sampled all and everything was so good! Our waitress was wonderful so I didn't mind tipping her extra, and the cook came out to introduce herself and she was so gracious, do yourself a favor and check them out, you won't be disappointed.
