We've been here many times in the few years we've lived in the bay area. It's where I take friends out family when they come in to town because the food is just THAT GOOD!!
The primary employee was so nice and friendly. The food was delicious. I wanted to order everything. Guess I'll have to go back. Generous portions.

This place is awesome and hidden away! We never noticed it. I almost don't want to say too much about it because then it'll get full of people and we won't be able to get a table! The server was super nice, the coffee was great. the food was spectacular and free baklava came with our bill! Really best Levabese food I've had in a while. yum.

Tiny kitchen, and the place is VERY popular, so we waited for almost an hour for our food. But the guy who took my order told me that in advance so at least I knew. And the food was AMAZING. Beef shawarma to die for.I will def be back.

This place came highly recommended and my friends were spot on. Felt bad because we came in right before close but they were very welcoming and accommodating. Food was great, best gyro wrap I’ve ever had. Halal guys eat your heart out. The garlic sauce that came on the chicken pomegranate was really out of this world too. And right by a bar to grab a drink too. 10/10

I love dining at Wally's. They are literally a hole-in-the-wall kind of place. You could be walking by on the street and not know that there's a little restaurant hidden down the tiny alleyway. I feel like I am eating at a friend's kitchen. As soon as we sat down and ordered, they gave us each a bowl of lentil soup. With the rainy weather, the hot bowl of soup really hit the spot. I ordered the lamb kabob plate and my husband ordered the pomegranate chicken. Both were delicious. I actually liked the pomegranate chicken more than the lamb I ordered. Both plates. Are with rice and salad. And at the end of our meal. They gave us each a small piece of baklavah, perfect little treat. Portion sizes are very generous and we couldn't finish. There was enough leftover to probably feed another person! The indoor seating area is limited. But on a Friday early lunch time, it was only 3 people eating inside, and I think there's maybe 15 seats around the kitchen area. I love that we can sort of watch them cook and prepare food. I wish they had a little more business because I really like this restaurant and want them to do well. I first discovered Wally's maybe 14 years ago. Many of my favorite restaurants have changed or have closed down since the pandemic. Wally's menu is more or less the same as before and the place still feels the same. I love it. Please don't ever change!
We've ascended to the next level. Z is running around serving people but he finally manages to get you a complimentary bowl of freshly brewed lentil soup, I could've frankly had 4 bowls of that for dinner itself and dipped. Couldn't chose one dish so I snagged an entire vegetarian platter, not a bad bite was had. Falafel was freshly fried with delightfully vibrant green insides. Baba ghanouj was curried perfectly well (I could tell coz I can't stand eggplant and I finished every morsel of it), the hummus was irresistible, the tabouleh the freshest accompaniment. My date had the chicken shawerma and I could see why that's a local's favorite. Combined with their rice, each bite was an experience, the culinary journey the cooks and that kitchen must has gone through to enrich the dish so deeply is remarkable, combined with the depth of flavor in Mediterranean cuisine reflecting millennia of evolution. Their tzatziki and yogurts went along with everything well too. The hole in the wall nature just adds to the experience.

This place is a little hidden gem. It's in the back of an alley of an old bank. Staff that work there are super nice. It's kind of an old diner with a counter and some outdoor seating. Portions are huge. Two people could share one of the combo plates for sure. The plates came with a delicious lentil soup. You get tons of pita with the meal. Falafel was crunchy and tasty. Lamb kebabs were tender, spicy, and juicy. Hummus was excellent. Overall great food in a casual low key atmosphere.

Friend recommended this place recently and we were extremely impressed! Food was amazing, portions were huge, and we really appreciate that they added their lentil soup and baklawa for every main course. 10/10 will order again!
