I have been coming to Wazwan since I was a kid. When my mom said I could have a treat, this is where I always wanted to go. I recently moved back to the bay area and revisited this gem. It is as delicious as ever and the ambience has only improved! I recommend the tandoori chicken and palak paneer, but everything is good. I am overjoyed that my most nostalgic foods are still being served!

Amazing food! The BEST Indian food I've tried. We always stop by with my family to enjoy a delish meal.

Wazwan is a Indian Cuisine place located in the public market. I am not getting them against sit down Indian restaurants. I view everything inside the public market as more of a canteen for grab and go food. They were definitely making everything fresh. When I was there the Chief was still preparing the items. They have a variety of Indian Food to choose from. I had the Chicken Tikki Masala, Rice, and Salad. It's been sort of cold in the Bay Area so I did not quite enjoy the cold salad. The food was warm and the portion was decent. They filled up most of my take out box and it was about $12 for the dish and a can of Coke. Overall decent meal. It was filling and not super heavy and that was surprising for Indian Curry. The Chicken Tikki Masala was not as buttery/milky as I hoped it would be but it was still flavorful. Decent place to come for quick bites. I would not say have a lunch date here.

For $10 I got rice.. veges.. AND CHICKEN CURRY.. so many flavors to choose from!! I'm here at least Once a Week... You can't beat the price.. over all quality I'd say 9/10..

This place is the real deal! I've been 3 times in the last week. The chicken is super juicy and the sauces are flavorful. The naan is freshly baked and they keep making it throughout the day. I've gotten the 3 meats combo each time and leave the public market super full and barely make it back over the bridge to my office. Thank you WAZWAN!

Very plain flavors. Not their best effort. Need more spices. Great staff but will not come back for the flat flavors.

We were at the public market, and we ate here, and it was so good! So many vegan and veg options, which are mild and great! I would recommend the mattar paneer for a really good mild option, and if you like spicy, the aloo gobi is great!! The cucumber salad was also nice and refreshing. Would definitely come back. Some of the best curries I've ever had. Great Samosas, love the mango lassi and sweet lassi. Lamb curry is great, but the goat curry was amazing. The goat curry is one of the few plates I've had as leftovers the next day, and the meat just absorbed the flavor overnight. Sometimes I substitute the rice for a naan, which feels and taste very fresh. For newcomers I would recommend the honey lemon chicken, the lamb curry, or goat curry, with a mango lassi and samosa (just out of what I've tried so far). This is one of the last places I've tried for the first time at Public Market, but I'm very happy to have tried this place and have been here almost everyday for the past week.

Tonight I had chicken tikka masala with spinach and cheese, and a side order of naan bread. The meal was very average, but I did not leave dissatisfied. I'm happy to see they are serving in biodegradable containers. This review represents an upgrade from my last.

Got their two non vegetarian combo. Honestly a little overwhelming with all the options and I just wanted to try everything but defaulted to the tikka masala and the honey lemon chicken. The price and portion size is good. The combo comes with rice and veggies. Love the tikka masala. I think I wanted more flavor for the honey lemon. Either way I'd return to try their other options. :)

A bit pricey for fast food the prices are higher than online it didn't say on the menu and they didn't bother to tell me the lamb cost extra so the two entree cost 14.50 which was annoying the rice was clumpy big balls of hard dry chunks which was inedible the curries i got were crazy hot they should write spicy on the ones that are hot i couldn't eat all of my entrees and i got tummy troubles later but my hubby liked his which weren't very spicy at all mango lassi was not sweet enough for me they ask you if you want rice and salad but it's actually coleslaw (one reviewer thought it was frozen lettuce haha)

Food is consistent, flavor is on point (I love the lamb curry and also ghobi) and the price point is great for what you get (makes two meals for me!). For some, it may be a tad spicy (I would say their default is other restaurant's medium) but the flavor comes through where you're not sad about the mouth tingle! Always friendly service and super quick!
