Hands down one of the most delicious taco shops on the Encinitas coast. Their tacos, quesadillas, shrimp burrito, California burrito and carne asada fries are so dank. Y’all rock!

This is one of the Great Mexican restaurants in San Diego but I think it is closed down

I've been eating at 'Berto's for over 30 years. Which is crazy to say, but true. The food is superb, but even better is the feeling that we are family when we come in. The burritos are massive and taste amazing - best bean and cheese, but we love their carne asada, Cali, and the Fili's burrito - carne asada with a Chile relleno. So good. The breakfast burritos are awesome too. Super close to the beach and the perfect place to grab a bite before heading to Moonlight or D street for an afternoon at the beach!

The service is consistently perfect, just like the food. I usually eat their chilli relleno burrito, veggie burrito, cheese quesadilla, or the value meals are good too. They got it down - know what they're doing. I could eat their 3 times a day, in fact I use to. It's prime real estate location right across from the La Paloma theater, etc. EZ to walk to the beach. They pack their portions big and with flavor, with extra hot sauce on the side. They have plenty of regulars for customers and people are happy to be there.

A well-kept secret just behind Raul's shack. Great tasting food, great specials (Mon-Fri), reasonable prices.

Sorry to say that this long time standing Encinitas restaurant has closed its doors for good. I'm going to miss it very much as I've been frequenting it for more than 40 years. Farewell Filibertos, we will miss you.

Open late! The staff has always been really great and helpful. Amazing non-meat things but rice and beans - to die for!!

Stopped by here for a bite to eat after an appointment with my girlfriend. First time eating here. Pam had eaten here before and wanted to stop by. They have daily specials for a good price so be sure to check them out. We had the 3 rolled tacos with cheese for $1.49. That's the Monday special and we also got a cheese quesadilla and a Jarritos Mandarin soda with the Mexican cane sugar. Food was good and the price was right!

Ordered the carnitas burrito and was very disappointed. My dog could have made a better burrito, will not be returning!

Favorite spot in Encinitas super convenient drive thru and very friendly staff has a nice mom and pop vibe. I recommend the carne asada burrito!

OK place for typical Mexican food. Nothing fancy, just huge burritos and loaded cheetos fries.

This is the quintessential Taco shop. I've been going here for 25 years + and love certain food items and a few of the staff members. My favorites at filibertos for the bean burritos, and the carne asada burrito. When I go to a taco shop I'm very critical about the hot sauce, the tortillas, and the beans. All of those things have to be good every time. I think each Taco shop has its specialty and for me I take the beans at Filibertos. When I fly across the country I'm frequently asked by family members to bring them a bean and cheese burrito from filibertos. Yes they are that good. I freeze them solid put them in an insulated wrap and carry them to my destination to the delight of the recipient.I used to eat a lot of fish burritos and I love the way they're prepared, although the deep fried fish is not consistently crisp.I love carnitas, but not especially at Filibertos. If you're crazy for carnitas, go to Juanita's.
