We ordered two bentos and a calamari. The sushi we chose was fine. The calamari with sauce tasty. The miso soup a little tepid. The salmon and tonkatsu a bit dry but with the sauces made it ok. Service was quick. The variety of food was fun.

I ordered the happy hour black milk tea (half off regular price) and it was wonderful. I got 25% ice and 50% sweet which is the perfect equilibrium I was looking for. I ordered and paid through the kiosk next to the door which was super convenient. The lady behind the counter smiled at me to acknowledge the order and went to work on my drink right away. It was such a good deal and the tea has such good flavor. I see many go to Hapoy Lemon because of its prime location so this quaint, little store gets overlooked (it is located right around the corner of Starbucks). I highly recommend the Happy Hour drinks from 3 to 5 pm; you won't be disappointed.

Ordered the katsu don, honey lemon tea and the SO ordered the bento box.Food was alright. Too much sauce on my rice, so so generous on the food in the bento.Wouldn't go back.I was going to get the sashimi burrito, but was completely turned off when I saw that the burrito contained "white tuna" and also walu. At some places, white tuna is the same thing as walu, aka escolar. This fish is subpar quality and is banned in Japan and Italy. Look it up yourself."Ingestion of escolar fish can cause a diarrheal illness that is self-limited and rarely life threatening. Typical symptoms include diarrhea that may be of strange color, crampy abdominal pain, nausea, and headache."This made me question the quality of the food served here.

Come for the bento or for a deal but not much else.I've been coming here for awhile during lunch for their quick and well priced bento. Decided to try their ramen on whim and I'm glad I'd never done so before because I wouldn't have come back. The smell of the broth alone put me off, egg overcooked, low quality noodles, and just overall not what I expected based on their bentos being good.

Stopped by to grab boba real quick since it was happy hour. I got the Honey Lemon Green Tea. It was very refreshing. I also ordered a chicken karaage, but they had run out. So they allowed me to substitute the deep fried calamari instead. It was a pretty good snack. They had plenty of available seats, and the staff were polite. Pretty solid service and food.

Came here on a whim and I was shocked how good the drinks were! The lady making the drinks was very kind and patient with me. Drinks were so good, I ordered 2 trays of them to go, half the price of Happy Lemon. The karage chicken and spicy ? tuna roll was ok. The bubbles egg waffles were excellent! They had really good chew and was fresh!Great seating and clean.

Ordering is completed on your phone using the code on the table. Staff doesn't greet you or ask if we had any questions on ordering. These are the following we ordered:1. Unagi Donbur had lots of rices under two unagi pieces with cabbage and pickled ginger. This dish was ok but the eel pieces kind of small. 2. Fried Calimari (tentacles/legs) we burnt and oily. 3 Miso soup was never arrived I had to go to the counter and ask for the soup.Soup was sweet not your regular misoThere was an offer for free soft serve ice cream on Yelp. I tried to use it but the waitress said they don't have ice cream Anymore. This place is not a place I would recommend. There are so many other good Japanese restaurants in San Mateo I will not waste my time here

At the register - lady rang me up for two water bottles. Told her I only want one. She said I have to pay for two, then ask a manager to refund me. Weirdest experience ever. 1-star for a bad experience before I even had a chance to try the food.

Parking in back lot free. This is more like a takeaway food stand, although dine in is an option. Ordered bento boxes so we can sample what they serve. Seaweed salad excellent, tonkatsu pork good, not greasy. Teriyaki salmon light and crisp, not bad. They close at 8:30 pm and other restaurant next to them 10pm. We mistakenly did not see closing time, and we had to take food to go. Overall, 3 stars out of 5. Service is self-serve. No ambiance, as this is like a fast food stand.

Solid sushi. It is a long wait time but the food is yummy. Portions are small. The smiley fries are great for kids! Good atmosphere and nice music and welcoming faces whenever I come here.
