A hidden gem that reminds you of Hue, VN. I decided to give this restaurant a try because it was located in the same plaza as my go to Spa.I ordered their banh beo (rice cakes with shredded shrimp) and banh uot (rice rolls with steamed pork and veggies). Their dishes reminded me so much of my childhood trips to Vietnam. It tasted very authentic. The dishes were prepared to perfection. It took less than fifteen minutes to receive my order. The restaurant was small but very busy. I definitely will come back to dine in and try their noodle dishes. There are plenty of catered dishes to order from. The dishes were fairly priced. The orders were very fulfilling. Highly recommend!

So i’ve been wanting to try this place and saw so many reviews so i was so excited. This was definitely over hyped. however, food wasn’t bad. i’ve had batter banh cuon and with better toppings/sides. so i was kinda really disappointed. The nuoc mam was not bussin, and that’s what really disappointed me. the rolls weren’t warm/food was kinda room temp. even the fried food was like warm. just didn’t seem as fresh as i would have liked.i really wanted to like this place. and i’m so sad i have to write this honest review. however, i would say this wasn’t a bad place to eat. like the food wasn’t bussin but not bad you know.PROS: the viet coffee was good. price is affordable. you get a big portion. i had half still untouched. unlimited nuoc mam. my order came with an eggroll, i liked that. the cha loa (ham slices) were flavorful. rice rolls were nice and soft, cooked well.

The food was underwhelming. The shrimp and sweet potatoes fritters were western sweet potatoes fries with a shrimp on top. The fish sause was bland. The only thing I somewhat enjoyed was the combine pork.

Delicious steamed rice cakes (bánh cuốn) and great service. Each time we visited OC from Phoenix, AZ, we had to order at least $200+ worth of bánh cuốn and chả chiên for our extended families. Everyone loves bánh cuốn Lưu Luyến so much!

Just like the name, great Bánh Cuốn, ăn rồi sẽ lưu luyến lol. Fresh and fast serving, banh cuon texture is just right, thin and not chewy. The fish sausage is perfect, not too salty or sweet.

A solid banh cuon choice. They have combination plates that come with the plain and or combination meat banh cuon, with all the important fixins : veggies and herbs, cha Lua (pork paste) and the fried potato fritters. The banh cuon is always fresh and warm, seasoned just right and when you dump the generous portion of fish sauce, it hits the spot!! Would suggest that if you order take out give yourself 20-30 minutes lead time. Things are made to order and they do get busy. They take credit cards.

Banh Cuon is one of my favorite Vietnamese dishes. My mom made a variety of dishes, but I always come back to this simple dish. It rice paper wraps filled with your choice of ground pork and mushroom, shrimp, or nothing! My personal favorite was the ground park. Their rice paper tastes house made, and dare I say, their dipping sauce (fish sauce base with sugar, chilis, etc.) is as good as my moms! (sorry mom). We also really enjoyed the fried shrimp and sweet potatoes. I will definitely be coming back again!Parking is tight, but it's the plaza, not the restaurants fault. The space is a bit small so may not recommend for large groups, however they do cater and you can order to go of course. I don't think you can make a reservation ahead of time, as soon as we got there, we checked in with the hostess to get our name on a list.

It's been maybe 6-7 years since I've last tried this place and I remember when I had it, I was impressed by the nuoc mam that was provided in a jar on every table. And I remembered the banh cuon was really delicious. Coming back again, I felt the ambiance was on the loud side, a lot of Vietnamese families, baby crying, and it was pretty cold in the corner booth table where I was seated. I can't remember exactly, but I think it was Vietnamese pop music playing, so its ambiance is similar to Brodard in a way. When the server came out, he asked me if I was ordering for to-go which I thought was a little weird, given I'm already seated at a table but I understand, he just wants to make sure, since I was by myself. I decided on the #1 because of my indecisiveness and wanting to just try every type of banh cuon, which was 3 kinds: banh cuon with shrimp filling, meat filling, and also plain. I substituted out the gio lua topping for more banh cong because not a fan of bland processed meat slices. I realized when my order came it also comes with fried gio lua, but it's okay because at least that has some crunch to it. I never really had banh cong before but it looked good and I liked it, it was like a peppery mung bean donut. Also the fried tofu was hard, not fresh tasting, and not soft enough at all for my liking and the cha gio-spring roll was eh, the filling wasn't really that tasty. I guess I liked the banh cong the best, fried gio lua second, tofu third & cha gio last in terms of the toppings. While eating I realized because I had cravings for the dim sum type banh cuon with shrimp, I would have liked to just get plain banh cuon (to get that similar taste). The shrimp was okay, it was like a finely processed shrimp, but I didn't think the meat filling was any good, not much flavor, just tiny balls of tasteless meat. Next time, definitely getting plain. On to the nuoc mam, I have really high expectations for a banh cuon restaurant to have delicious nuoc mam, because it's the other component that makes or breaks it. I thought like another yelper said who said another yelp already mentioned lol, that yeah the nuoc mam had just a sweet profile, no acidity or kick to it. It was still okay, with the crushed chili's to make it spicy, which definitely did make it spicy. I still put loads of this nuoc mam on bc I prefer a lot of nuoc mam for eating banh cuon. Anyways, I also asked for extra on the rau thom, which I was hoping for just the herb part, but it came out mixed with the bean sprouts, which was okay, I'll just take it to eat with my instant noodles at home or something. When I ordered, I made sure to ask if the extra rau was extra charge and the waiter assured no charge. However, when paying, I saw a $2 charge for Side of rau thom, which I pointed out right away saying "I thought you said no charge" and he quickly apologized and muttered yeah don't worry about it. I tried to ask if there's usually a charge for it, just so I know if he was just being nice to me and providing it as a courtesy or something, but he just repeated don't worry about it. Okay I guess lol, just wanted to know. Anyways, the #1 costs $12 and with Garden Grove tax, which is at the 8.75% rate apparently (woah), it was $1.05 for tax, so $13.05 total. Not bad at all for two meals, a late lunch and just had my leftover for breakfast.I'd say this place is still good, but not the best banh cuon place I was hoping it would be for me. Also I briefly passed by the open display of the kitchen showing people making the banh cuon from scratch, which I thought was a really cool touch. Be sure to keep in mind that they close at 4 PM every day.

Saw this place on ig and it is spot on for their banh cuon. There would be a small line and you have to check in with the front, I was standing in line and some lady cut in front of me, at least the guy at the front switched me and the lady so I went ahead first, 5 star service ! Took about 10 min to get in and after we ordered be aware there is a wait as everything is made fresh, took about maybe 20 min but the food was worth it. If you like thit Nhung get it on the side and just order the shrimp and veggie rolls. Overall the restaurant is very clean and all the utensils and sauce you'll need is at the table. Overall it's really good and the service was on point, thanks ig for the recommendation.

I really craved Banh Cuon which sadly doesn't appear on any menus here in the South Bay, so my fellow foodie joined me on a culinary adventure in the Westminster/Garden Grove area for Vietnamese cuisine. It didn't take too much to convince her since we were in the area. I found BC Luu Luyen on Yelp but didn't realize until later that I had seen some IG posts about this place as well.Located in what looks like a corporate park rather than a strip mall, it appears very utilitarian both on the exterior as well as the interior. Seeing the clientele, I knew this was going to not only be authentic but very good as well with the tables turning fairly quickly. We gave our name and in minutes, we were seated. The menu was straightforward with great pics and I ordered the Banh Cuon #1 which was so good! Bean sprouts, crunchy bits (?), lettuce to wrap it all up and yummy fish sauce for dipping. Really each entree had slight variations so n you couldn't go wrong. I love the unique rice sheets here because they are almost like ravioli. There was a tiny bit of filling inside the sheet which reminded me of a steamed wonton.I also ordered the shrimp and sweet potato appetizer to share. Delicious but really the main dish was more than enough. Plenty of parking in the lot. I will definitely come back again!

So just came to your guys’ restaurant with the best of intentions of have great banh cuon. The wait wasn’t too bad to get in, 15 minutes? Not too bad. But like Billy Mays said, oh wait there’s more! 3 number 1s, an 8, and two appetizers. Shouldn’t be too bad right? 15 minutes passed, oh that’s normal probably. 30 minutes, we asked to get our water canteen refreshed. Asked them to check on it, and no follow up. 45 minutes in we saw the sign we’re not fast food, and good food takes time, okay I get it. One hour passes, and a party that came after us got their appetizers first. Okay what’s up? Went up to the register to ask do you guys know what the status of our order is? And with a follow up from the wife of “is our order even present because if not we’ll leave.” The response we for was “no order was placed, we’ll see you next time!” With disappointment without recompense, you guys will not see us next time.
