Tried this place in Hawaii and was thrilled to find out it opened in socal! Their curry is kanazawa style so it's darker & thicker (more gravy-like). It's a different flavor from the typical Japanese curry that's definitely worth trying. I recommend getting one of the larger plates to share. Super filling!
Had the pork curry. Curry was a tad bit too salty for my taste, but the pork was perfectly crispy.
Counter staff was friendly and inviting. Really nice.
Atmosphere is 5/5 because i expected plastic cutlery, and got a nice fork with a wooden handle. That's class.

Katsu and curry were good. Not enough curry with the regular rice amount. Just go to Kagura next door. Better portions, and you get miso soup, salad, and pickled veggies with your curry meal for pretty much the same price as here.
