Our experience with Talisman Winery was fantastic. The pinot noir is some of the best I’ve had and the rose (a surprise)was extraordinary.Marta who owns the winery with her husband is a lovely person who also supports local artists at her tasting room by displaying jewelry and artwork.I highly recommend you try their wines. If you live in North Jersey you can find them at Xplor wine in Demarest. If you are able to visit Marta at their tasting room you should. You won’t be disappointed.

My wife and I own Xplor Wine in Demarest NJ and have carried Talisman Pinot Noir since we opened in October 2019. We already knew Talisman crafted amazing Pinot Noirs, but we have never visited their beautiful tasting room in Glen Ellen, CA. For context, we've visited approximately 200 wineries/tasting rooms in the last 20+ years and can definitively say that our recent visit was one of our best experiences ever. If you love Pinot Noir, we highly recommend you schedule an appointment. If you're lukewarm about about Pinot Noir, visiting Talisman could turn you into a rabid fan.

We were lucky to visit when Martha (co-owner) was there. She was a super host and answered our numerous questions and made us try their key wines. Awesome Pinot Noirs! They also experiment with Nebbiolo (Italian native grape variety), that was interesting. Good experience for PN lovers.

My husband and I did a wine tasting at Talisman. The tasting room and experience is located in the quaint town of Glen Ellen. We were fortunate to have Marta educate us on their family business that includes an extensive selection of Pinot Noirs. The wines are wonderful and we really enjoyed the intimate tasting experience and the hospitality at Talisman Wine. We highly recommend visiting this winery on your next trip to the Sonoma area!

We really enjoyed the wines and the tasting. The Pinot was especially good, but they do not make anything but great wines. The tasting was also unhurried and informative.

This winery was recommended to us by another winery’s club manager. We immediately called and headed out for a tasting. All I can say is just go visit! You will not be disappointed.

Come here if you are a Pinot fan, small and quaint but packs a flavorful punch of Pinot. The make from 10 different locations and are very nice. Overall great experience at this location.

Owner and winemaker Scott Rich has been crafting Talisman Pinot Noir since 1993 and before that made wine at Etude in Carneros. The winery is in Sonoma but the tasting room is located in a quaint, 100-year-old historic building in Glen Ellen. The tasting room has the feel of someone's grandparent's home. Scott's lineup of single-vineyard Pinot Noirs are superb - take it from me who has written about Pinot Noir for the last 18 years in the PinotFile. Each bottling is typically 200-300 cases and represents an interesting terroir in Sonoma County. The wines age extremely well. Prices are in the premium Pinot Noir range. The tasting room is open daily but appointments are recommended.

I've known about Talisman for a few years now but never made it to Glen Ellen to taste. With some relatives coming in to town I figured it would be the perfect opportunity to sate my curiosity. The sit-down tasting we booked was awesome. Grayson took great care of us, greeting us at the door with a glass of rose, and then continued to educate and wow us by sharing some beautiful Pinot Noirs. Absolutely some of the best Pinots I've tasted; I'm looking forward to sharing the wines I brought home with friends!
