Atmosphere, coffee & the food are always spot on. But what always makes this my go to spot, is the incredible service. I went in today to get a latte and a pastry, and totally forgot to ask for almond milk. Knowing it was my mistake I went to the counter to purchase another one with almond milk, the man who was working was SO kind, said not to worry, took my drink back and remade it, making sure it was just as good as the first one but with the type of milk I needed. Just anticipating a customer’s needs and being courteous of others, it’s hard to find these days but every time I come here they go above and beyond. This is a business to support. You can say bye to Starbucks!

The best service i ever saw in coffee shop industry. I am a proud customer for about 3 year i always come here from North Hollywood to drink specifically Uptown Coffee , and also the best freshly made pastries are here, my favorite is "Yozhik" - very tasty. Also i love the service the coffee shop providing, i always feel myself like in my house always worm atmosphere!!! I recommend Uptown Coffee to all my LA People !!!

I was sold pastry that was stale and left over for days. They have a deceiving display of what looks like FRESH pastry but don’t be fooled.Uptown charges $5+ for these and come to find out it tasted bitter and old and was hard as a rock. No managers on duty. Poorly run establishment.Maybe you should stop focusing on playing JAZZ in the corner and focus on delivering fresh product that you’re charging lots of money for.HORRIBLE.

Great atmosphere and spot to work! I’m giving a three star due to the food though. I ordered a tuna sandwich hoping for a sandwich with plenty of protein as the picture showed it would have. Instead the tuna was scarce and actually hard to find. The sandwich size in regard to bread was good, but again, very little to no meat.The worker asked how the sandwich was to which I responded, “Good, but has very little meat compared to the picture.” The worker was kind and responded, “We’ll work on that.” Which is great, but not great for that moment where I paid for two pieces of bread and a teaspoon of tuna. I ended up having to eat a meal bar to suffice my hunger. I will return to the shop for coffee, but I will not purchase another “sandwich”.
