We had spent a few days in Carmel and were returning home to Tiburon, CA. I asked Sri for a Mexican Resturant and she directed us to this restruant. We like everything about it but especially - it felt like being back in Mexico; i.e., Authentic! including great Mexican music and food,

Very delicious food the atmosphere is very nice the employees outstanding the only negative I see is the parking but even that it's not much of a walk. Must try if you want to have some authentic freshly made Mexican food.

Off the beaten, path but truly delightful. The service was wonderful (Thank you, Lorena!). We started with the Jalapeño infused margarita. Absolutely delicious (wish I could get the recipe). Chips and Salsa were spot on. Chips warm and served fresh. My wife had fish tacos and I had the Cheese enchilada combo plate. This food is SOOOOO Mexican authentic. If you haven't tried it, do yourself a favor, drop in during the next visit to HMB.

The restaurant was clean. The menu had lots to choose from. Large portions and the food was excellent. Great customer service too.

Amazing salsa, good food, but I think the star here was our waiter—a very nice young woman who gave us suggestions and provided a great service.

My family enjoyed the food. I included a picture of the 3 item dinner that had chicken quesadilla, flauta, and a chimichonga. It was enough for my wife, me, and my young daughter. It's a lot of food! We also had Patron margaritas - mango and the other jalapeno margaritas.Next time I might try the 8 oz NY steak and shrimp. The chips and salsa were delicious.

Food was good and service was nice and quick. The owner came out with free apps and made sure our meal was delicious. Outdoor seating was available with heat lamps making it nice and comfortable.

As I said in a review written in 2013, I m an HMB local so I can rate this relative to other local restaurants. Thing have not changed at all. Spanishtown is a family-owned restaurant that serves authentic Mexican food. It is not great food; it is not bad food. It is reasonably-priced food and if you order one of their combination dinners you will get a lot of it. This is the kind of place that has "regulars;" people who will eat here all the time. It is a place where you can bring the kids. Given all of the other places to eat in the area I could not in good conscience say to a visitor: "you have to eat here." If I had to recommend a Mexican restaurant I would recommend Cafe Capistrano which is on the same block. But I can honestly say I have never had a great meal nor a bad one here. Just average Mexican food. Oh, and BTW, "Spanishtown" was the original name of Half Moon Bay.

This was one of the best Mexican meals I've ever eaten. The place is situated in what looks like a converted home. The food was super flavorful and the texture was great. The servers were super nice and the ambiance was great. After we ate, the owner even came out and sat at our table and had chips and guacamole with us. I would definitely go back. And if you haven't been there, I would definitely go.

Get the Birria. It is super authentic. This place is the best.

We've been eating at Spanishtown since our children were toddlers. And now they're in their 30s. From the 1st time we were there, we felt welcome. Food has been reliably very good. I generally go for enchiladas and/or chili rellenos, and am always happy.

Quiet place 2 blocks from the tourist area. Spicy dip for the chips.
