Fish tacos had about half a cup of liquid in them. They were so soggy they fell apart the instant I tried to pick them up. The margaritas were good at least.

If you're ever over in Half Moon Bay and get the urge for Mexican food, this is the only place you should go. I found out, after eating, that they've been there for 36 years, but now I know why. Very authentic Mexican food, great flavor, (Don't forget to try the Molé sauce), and the prices were very reasonable. Quick service along with a friendly and attentive staff. You don't usually see that combination at many restaurants nowadays. And the ambience is exactly what you want from a quaint little Mexican restaurant. The margaritas were huge. I could go on and on, but I'll stop now and let you go try it for yourself. I will definitely be back, and I drove an hour to get there. Oh, and I never post restaurant reviews, but I had to make an exception after eating at Spanishtown.

This was our first visit, but not our last! We loved the positive feel from the entry & brilliant decor. Festive, colorful & a warm, intimate atmosphere. The service was perfect & friendly. The menu is extensive & delicious. Plus, a variety of prices for small & big appetites. They do it all right!
Great Mexican food in Downtown Half Moon Bay. The few times I’ve been to Spanishtown Mexican Restaurant the food and service has been good. It’s a nice little restaurant a couple streets from the Main Street hustle and bustle that can definitely get overwhelming on weekends. Your guaranteed to have a seat or take out relatively quickly here

Today it was my friends bday and we went to eat here and after we're gonna go somewhere else to continue celebrating her. Will say that the servers were very nice and attentive, I ordered a virgen piña colada which tasted like the cheap bottles of piña colada I buy to make them at home (no pineapple flavor). Then when the food came I noticed that they put an olive on top of my sour cream. Which I didn't know they did otherwise would have informed them that I am highly allergic to them. Which I told the server at that time. He took my food back to the kitchen, and a couple of minutes later he came with my food without sour cream and without olives. Well I don't know if the just removed the olive with the sour cream or what they did as a little before I left the restaurant I started getting hives, and had to come back home to take Benadryl, to stop my allergies as my throat started closing. Well the food was good, but too bad I couldn't continue celebrating my friend because of my allergic reaction.

We had a wonderful time here, enjoying the delicious food (generously portioned) and excellent service and atmosphere! We came into a very authentic setting with colorful tablecloths. They give us chips and salsa right away. We were able to share a very large sized combination, chicken, steak and shrimp fajitas and still have leftovers. It was excellent. We even got to talk to the owner who said that he started the business 40 years. We will be coming back again
