My family ordered 4 small trays and 4 large trays for a reception of 40 people. The food was excellent and flavorful, presentation was great. There was plenty left over for everyone to take home a plate or 2. The owner Eddie was helpful and accommodating. We would highly recommend and use their offerings again.

Chef’s in Hayward never misses — always a great place to grab a quick freshly cooked bite for a fair price. although I might mention that both the food and the kitchen may become a bit over-whelmed on Sunday Afternoons when the bar seating is full and many groups are dining at once (because they show the games on TV, and because of after-church groups)

We ordered take out yesterday night, the food was mediocre, it is not the same from how it used to be. Also seems a little over priced for what it is now compared to what it used to be! Side note: chow mein noodles were charred ( a little burnt taste) Fried rice was bland Salt and pepper fish overcooked Overall the food just seemed very different.

I ordered over the phone to go and was like damn that's lowkey expensive, but holy sh*% this is probably the best Chinese food I've had in a minute. The bbq pork chow mein is incredible. The honey sesame chicken is nice, juicy pieces of chicken not just dough. I'm very impressed and can't believe I've never been here before.

If I could give 5 more stars I would. We had my grandpa's funeral reception here & everything was amazing. The owner & the staff were sooo accommodating, understanding, patient, & very efficient with the food & service. We maxed out the banquet room of 100 capacity & overflowed into the restaurant with another 90 people, it was very overwhelming, but they handled it so amazingly well. Every single one of them! I highly recommend them. Thank you all again sooo much. You made a very hard day & turned it into a huge family experience with fantastic food & service. All of our family was full, not just in our stomachs but in our hearts as well. Thank you.

Food is average Chinese take out food. Nothing amazing taste wise, but no complaints. Ordering takeout on phone can be difficult since they are not consistent with picking up the phone, sometimes it takes numerous tries to be able to speak with someone. Not the best looking interiors. Never dined in and prefer takeout from this place. But if you are looking for some takeout Chinese food this is not a bad place!

China Bistro in Hayward is a delightful gem that consistently exceeds expectations with its delectable cuisine and generous portion sizes, even during lunch service. The ambience exudes warmth and comfort, complemented by a staff that exudes genuine friendliness. While the ample parking lot offers convenience, patrons are advised to take precautions by hiding valuables. With its winning combination of flavorful dishes, inviting atmosphere, and attentive service, China Bistro stands out as a must-visit destination for those craving authentic Chinese cuisine in the East Bay.

Good food. I'm very allergic to MSG and I called ahead to ask. They do NOT use MSG, which is great. They did suggest to not use soy sauce or order dark sauces. Very pleased and no allergic reaction. The inside had a very odd and weird floor plan.

We ordered the lemon chicken and orange dish along with a few side dishes, the orange chicken never came out during our meal and we were practically finished eating. It’s fine maybe we didn’t choose the right dishes, but our experience with the food wasn’t great, service was good. For four dishes it came out to $80+ tip.

Food was good but appetizer (calamari) was overcooked. The main dish (sweet/ spicy basil fish), was more sweet than spicy. The service would have been ok but the staff appeared tired and overworked. I felt so bad, I left a 30% tip. The first drink was ok; I’ve had better. I ordered a second drink but received something that I didn’t order and had to go back and forth with the waiter to get the drink I’d originally ordered in the first place, just to receive a glass full of water and probably a side order of saliva. Overall, if you are trying to simply mellow out with hardly any to no attention from the waiter/ waitresses, overcooked calamari and watered down drinks, then this is the place for you.

My visit to Chef's Experience China Bistro was an absolute delight, thanks to the impeccable service and the culinary creativity on display. As someone of Chinese heritage, I find the balance between authentic Chinese flavors and American culinary culture at this restaurant not just impressive, but truly satisfying. It's rare to come across a place that manages to cater to both palates with such finesse. The dishes here are a testament to the chef's ingenuity, blending traditional Chinese ingredients with a twist that appeals to a broad spectrum of tastes. Whether you're a purist about Chinese cuisine or someone looking for a familiar American touch, this bistro has something special for you.Beyond the food, the restaurant's design itself is a feast for the eyes. The beautiful Chinese-inspired decor creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it a perfect backdrop for dining. It's clear that every detail has been thoughtfully considered to celebrate Chinese culture while welcoming diners from all backgrounds. For anyone who appreciates great food, excellent service, and a beautiful setting that pays homage to Chinese aesthetics, Chef's Experience China Bistro is a must-visit. It's not just a meal; it's an experience that beautifully marries different cultures on a plate. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore the best of both worlds.
