This place was great! The food was good, service was pleasant, and I loved the pictures of old Town Hayward on the wall. But best of all is that they gave us glass jars for our drinks and served us on a real plate. No needless waste. Fantastic.Vegetarian options: They had a number of veg items. I am vegetarian and had the Del Monte Special, which was really good. Didn't feel like they skimped just because there was no meat. Great job.

First thing you notice when you enter the cafe is the decoration and how nice the environment is. The food is amazing, i love the farmers market sandwich. As a vegan we never get many options but this place has quite a few. And you always get a complimentary pickle. The workers are always really friendly too. Must try!

I stopped here for lunch after getting my car serviced. I needed to waste some time. Eriks deli café was pretty good. Sitting between two other local businesses is Erik's deli. Clean and quiet, nice location. Upon entering, they had a nice little selection of parking, even though I did not have my car I did take notice. The place was clean and smelled fresh. The staff were so nice and patient with my indecisiveness. They had a nice selection of sandwiches and wraps along with food combos. I chose a sandwich and salad. My turkey sandwich was fresh and had plenty of meat and toppings. However, the condiments where a bit shy even after specifying I wanted extra mustard. It did make my sandwich a bit dry, but it was good nonetheless. My garden salad was delicious and super fresh. I loved it! There's nothing worse than finding brown lettuce Or soggy tomatoes in your salad. Not here! My vegetables and sprouts were super fresh and crisp. You can tell the staff takes pride in their quality of food and the prices were very fair. I will definitely come again.

Went within last 30 mins of closing, wanted the square meal they said they couldn't since they put up the soup already. Asked for the sack lunch said they could but wouldn't get a drink since they shut off tge fountain drinks already. What type of business is this. I'm sure they just closed earlier so they can leave early smh. Wouldn't recommend going within 30 mins of closing time.

ordered a sandwich thru door dash.. the sandwich had 2 slices of turkey.. how thick do you think that is..not worth it.. just eating a lot of bread.. they are too cheap to put the amount of meat it should have.. I haven't seen a sandwich made like this in a long time..this is the kind of sandwich I would make for my kids.. with 1 to 2 pc of deli meat. Did not expect to get this from a sandwich shop. thumbs down

They were really busy and my sandwich was accidently made wrong and I called to let them know. The manager Brian was so nice and cool he remade my sandwich and delivered it to my work. He is beyond customer service so awesome!! I will so be going back there.

Erik's has quick service, and it's always a treat when you get street parking right out front. They have a bunch of tables inside for you to enjoy your food there. Erik's is on my rotation of lunch spots. They have quick and friendly service. Plus, you can order ahead on their app, which makes it easier and also earns you rewards. My go-tos are the Farmer's Market sandwich, house salad, and soup with one scoop butternut squash and one scoop veggie. I'm so fortunate that they accommodate this soup request. The Farmer's Market and salad is always fresh. The only downside is if you take it to go, sometimes the bread sticks to the paper, and your sandwich will have a hole in it This is not an issue with all sandwiches though, just this one. I also love that they give you multiple pickles with your sandwich and that they usually ask if you want them for the pickle haters out there.
Fantastic sandwiches. I highly recommend Abbott's habit. A great combination of beef and cheese. You order at the counter but what is also quite nice is that if you stay there to eat they will bring your order to the table. I also enjoyed old Hayward photos hanging in the walls. Nice place to catch a quick bite

We like to support local businesses when we can. Today we decided to order from Erik's Deli Cafe on B St on an app.My husband had the Ruben Sandwich with potato salad and I had a small Mac Salad with BBQ Chips He loved the sandwich but unfortunately the potato salad taste kind of missed the mark. The Mac Salad I had was great as it had hints of black olives inside which I absolutely love black olives. I wish there was a way to customize it so that I can add extra in the salad. Sorry I am just like thatThe BBQ chips were awesome as well. It's located in Downtown Hayward off B Street which has other things to enjoy when you are out and about. Since this store is on the side of the street and traffic is one way you will have to use the parking garage in order to get here. This is a decent alternative to some of the more well known sandwich shops and has a broader selection than just sandwiches. It's a must try if you have not been here before or not ordered from there.
