Went there today after reading reviews and it was ok. I tried the cod and like most people said it was mushy. I didn't want to take the reviews for truth so I had to try it myself. It was just like they said, the batter was good, but the mushiness just turned me off. The catfish was ok, super fall apart which wasn't bad. All in all I give it a 5 out of 10. Don't know if I'd go back.

Updating my review for the new owners. I havze raised my rating from 2 stars to 4. Food is great with some new choices to the fish and chips. Love the new decor. The ambiance has greatly improved. AND the other big improvement is the staff. Night and day from the previous owners. Thank you for making this local spot a place I'm happy to patronize again.

Been driving by for years, finally decided to try it. Wish I would have stopped sooner. Used a delivery service so didn't go in so this review is only on the food. Ordered a family pac of shrimp, fish and fries. All were exceptional, shrimp was my favorite fries maybe 30 more seconds cooking, but that a personal thing, flavor was outstanding. Fish was great. I will be ordering again soon and trying the cornmeal batter and lots of other things.

Just received our order through a service; it was hot, fresh and delicious! The fish we ordered, battered cod & cornmeal catfish, both were so good! The batter on the cod is light, crunchy, flavorful & not greasy. The catfish is lightly coated in cornmeal and fried to perfection. I have to mention the coleslaw; crunchy cabbage & red onion, coated in a savory dressing without a lot of sugar, delicious! The jalapeño poppers are filled with cheddar cheese, very tasty. Also, their tartar sauce is really good. Hot, crunchy fries come on the side. We really enjoyed our food and will def order again!

I love the chicken wings from this place. They use small chicken wings, unlike other places sells big chunk of wings and drumsticks that sometime is uncook inside. I ordered 18 pieces of Korean Chix Wings and takes about 10 mins. So good.

Just a little bit disappointed in the overall quality of a few items. Cod fish fillet was slim at best. Most of the two pieces I received were strong in crispy English Style batter coating, but light on the thing you wanted...Fish! Shrimps were what seemed to be also very thin, almost appeared to have been pounded and flattened before bring breaded and fried. My fried mushrooms were like little balls of something that may have had a better day to be served up by any restaurant of any kind. I may or may not give Jay's another try, but can't quite promise you that. This is a reviewers one time so please get out there and see what you. Oh yeah the fries absolutely 'Rockthe show up, if ya know what I talkin' bout!

*supporting local during COVID 19* Jay's Fish and Chips is a Korean Style fish and chips restaurant. It is located across the street, near the Safeway Grocery Store. I had a craving for chicken and my husband had a craving for Fish and Chips. So we decided on this place for takeout. Prices are very reasonable for what they give you. For $2.99 on the french fries they give you so many that you wish you would have ordered just one for you to share with someone else, so keep that in mind. I tried the Fried Chicken Wings (6 in the order ) and they tasted real delicious. It's not a brand name wing place we all know and probably love but they are awesome at making their wings for a first time taste! ~Observations~ *Beer on tap and also in the fridge *Quite a few televisions hanging from the wall - you could think this is a sports bar. *K-POP music videos on 2 of the televisions which I love those kinds of videos and music they have quite the catchy beat and make you want to dance. *Food prepared perfectly and promptly *Ample parking for the capacity of this establishment with ease of backing out your vehicle to get back onto the main road.

The best fish and chips EVER. I ordered while rehabbing in KPPACC. The sole was to Die for. I tried to order again but, due to the virus the facility wouldn't allow any outside food. If I lived close by, I'd frequent this place at mimimum once a week.
