Food was good, but our family had to wait forever, some got their orders, some orders were wrong, one ordered something and waited forever and when asked where her food was, she was told that item wasn't available..yet no one told her that until she asked, she wouldn't have eaten if SHE didn't ask

Maria's patrons are overwhelmingly men, and spanish speakers. this place is set up like a bar. bartender was showing a fresh small crab to a patron. offerings (on sign): burritos, tacos, pupusas, breakfast, clilaquiles, enchiladas, flautas, chiles rellenos, bisteces, ostiones, camarones, combos, ensaladas, eats: chicken, asada, al pastor tacos. (tot: 8.50) -garnishes of lime squeeze, cucumber, radish, cilantro, onions, green salsa. -proteins are deep fried, tastes way better than the taco truck variety. meats fresher, has an unique unami taste -the tacos were very filling. 3.5 stars take outs: -quick, courteous service though there was a language barrier. i just pointed to what i wanted. signaled with my fingers how many tacos i wanted. -will need to brush up on my Spanish so i can read the menu. some items may be Salvadorean. -saw a beef soup. smelled nice. didn't see menudo...

The food was pretty good and the hand-made tortillas was something unique. I received a good service by the staff. Also, when i tried the camarones empanesados it was on the spot. Thumbs up. However, i feel like prices should be shown because I wasn't able to see until I got my bill.
