The loaded Tri-Tip was absolutely tender and great. Came during busy lunch time frame but was made to feel like 1 of the family. Will definitely recommend this location as a great stop

Ok folks, many deli places have a BBQ sandwich or two but believe me when I say the handmade sauce provided here is among the very best I've had and I make my own and wish it turned out as good as Pop's. The food is rivaled by the friendly, polite, and courteous staff who make one feel they are being served as though you were family. This little gem is tucked away in the heart of an Industrial area in Hayward so lunch time can be a bit busy but the food is worth the little bit of waiting. No matter what sandwich I've had over the years I'm never disappointed as they are all freshly made and they do not skimp on portions. Great food and at a better than reasonable price. Treat yourself one day, I promise you will not be disappointed.

Tons of parking. Great service but it can get super busy sometimes especially during lunch hours so try to call in your orders ahead of time. Sandwiches are freshly made with freshly sliced meat and fresh vegetables everyday! They have a ton of varieties and you can customize your sandwiches of course. Soups are great too! Always super hot . Staff always greets with a smile and a "ill be right with you" if they are busy . So you are acknowledged every-time. THEY ALSO HAVE SPECIALS EVERYDAY. From meatloaf, pulled pork, tritip, Philly cheese steak, and ribs!!! The owner cooks everything to perfection and make sure his soups have seasonings and flavor before giving them out. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Cute sandwich shop with a diner-like atmosphere in the middle of the industrial business area. Lunch time is busy at Pop's but the service is still fairly quick. Order your sandwich from the counter and then pay at the register. They have a fairly large menu with decent prices, and substitutions requests are usually doable. I found the sandwiches a little small.

My new job is near Pops. I've only been there once. There are several people making food. Place your order with them then pay at the window. The food prep people are friendly and well skilled. I had a pastrami Reuben and it was awesome! The price was very reasonable. There were two vegetarians in our group and they both said that their food was very good and it looked good to my eye.Pops has a lot of seating that looks better than just okay but almost all their business is takeout. It feels a little humid inside and maybe that is why.Bottom line? If you're near Pops at lunch time? You could do a lot worse!

This is a great place for lunch. The Chicken Gumbo is very flavorful. They have multiple soups all the time and they're all delicious. Had the chicken sandwich and it was really good. Not overpowered by lettuce and fixings. Equal sandwich with the chicken and vegetables. The jalapeño sauce on it gave it a nice bite. Will be going to lunch here regularly now.
