This is my second time at this restaurant and the customer service is always great. The food just as good too! Parking is not too bad especially being downtown Hayward. I definitely recommend this restaurant!

Sapporo serves some of the best Udon noodle I have had anywhere. The sushi is very fresh and well prepared. The panko breaded tempura is outstanding. Our server is always knowledgeable and friendly. We love the low key and welcoming vibe here. The price is right for the quality of the food. We dine here as often as we can when in the area.Parking: Parking lot is behind the restaurant

Shusi was not the best. The heat on the ones marked spicy was not very spicy. The price for the quality was not at all close. I’ve paid less and had much better. My girlfriend was not impressed so that puts a negative for sushi here. I’m running at 50% now so I’m going to have to find a good place next time.

Poor service. Waitress was unable to advise on wines or beers. Unwilling to offer a taste of draft beer. Also unable to advise on the favorite items on the menu. Food was mediocre at best. Sushi roll fell apart, food delivered scattershot, edamame came last!? Not horrible, but not good.

It's heavily price for the portions you get. $28 for just a few pieces of eel. Each row average between $19 and $23. The menu items were also heavily emphasize the imitation crab and you can expect a lot of rice. They try to make the food look decorative but it's really not that great. The taste is also nothing special. The service is very cool as the waiting staff were nice and down to earth. Our dinner was enjoyable. We definitely laughed at the quality and portions that we got for the price we paid.

We wanted to go to Mujiri but it was too long of a wait. The empty dining room at Sapporo should've been my first warning; my second was that they had a fan blowing air on our table in FEBRUARY. The nigiri tasted as if it had been sitting next to the wasabi; wasabi was the overwhelming flavor. Felt absolutely ripped off because the Spider roll on the menu said it has soft-shell crab; IT DID NOT MENTION IMITATION CRAB. Lo and behold, imitation crab was the filler for at least half the roll. Super dishonest! Fish didn't taste fresh and after spending $81 for two special rolls ($22 apiece!) a Philly roll and two pieces of nigiri for two people we were forced to head home still hungry and ripped off $81. The service sucked, we had to wait way too long for a beer and the check, and after they said their keg was "acting up" they gave my friend a flat beer. Worst sushi I've ever had in the Bay Area -- you'll get a better deal and taste at Safeway. Please save your money and time and don't support a dishonest trash business when there are so many honest ones out there!

One of the best sushi places in Hayward. Service is always wonderful, food is fresh, and there is such a variety. Truly one of our family favorites to go to.

Great spot everytime! The Staff is great, who I assume is the owner is always super welcoming and informative. We like to try out nice Sake and he always has something new, with great information and tips. Last night, sat in the normal cozy area up top. Had a great fresh roll, some great beef udon, and a couple nice Sakes. Great date night, can't wait for the next

Fantastic sushi. Extremely fresh. Probably the best sushi experience in the East Bay! They have all the hard to fine fish Uni etc.. The stuff the other restaurants just don't carry anymore. Totally worth the money. Want to impress someone special with a sushi dinner date. This is your place.

One of the local sushi spots in our rotation. They offer a nice combo of fresh sashimi and some great sake options along with some great local beers like Jack London's Dokkaebier. The service is overall pretty efficient, with friendly servers. The owner is very knowledgeable and has a great sake selection. They also offer a decent discount on sake to go! Our go to's are the salmon teriyaki dinner for the kids, chirashi bowl and various sushi and sashimi options. Parking is generally fairly easy with the lot next door as well. Give them a try if you're in the area!

Conveniently located downtown and it has a shared parking lot nearby if you can't park on the street. This isn't my go to sushi spot though it's the closest to me. They seem to put this glaze sauce on all of their rolls. I don't like it. I could ask them to not add it but I always forget. It's a decent sized spot and a big menu. Friendly service. I love coming here. The food is fantastic; the servers are knowledge, friendly, and helpful for novices of sushi, and the atmosphere gives an air of privacy and intimacy to the meals. While the food does come at a substantially higher cost than fast food, every penny is worth it.

I Got A Chance To Visit Sapporo For The First Time With My Fiancée Friday Night. We Arrived Around 6pm. The Atmosphere Is Nice. As Soon As We Walked In We We're Greeted & Told We Could Sit Anywhere Since There Was Plenty Of Seating At The Time. My Fiancée Order The Beef Teriyaki Dinner & I Ordered Their Chicken Teriyaki. The Entrées Came With A Side Salad, Miso Soup Along With Side Of Rice. (Bento Box Without The Box) My Dinner Was Good Looked Nice As Well. The Beef Teriyaki Dinner Plate, The Beef Itself Was Literally 80% FAT. Not Much Beef To Really Eat. However, The Customer Service Was Great! Kaitlyn (New Employee) Was Awesome! She Was Very Attentive, Patient & Courteous. I Checked In To Sapporo & A Coupon Popped Up For One Free Soda! I Asked Kaitlyn About The Coupon & Was Not Sure So She Went To Go Ask Another Colleague. They Came Back & Validated The Coupon & I Got My Free Soda! Several Other Workers There Swung By To Make Sure Everything Was OK. After We Finished Our Dinner. We Ordered Dessert. A Tempura Ice Cream (Vanilla). It Was Really Good! Giving This Place 4 Stars Due To The Customer Service & Ambiance Alone. Overall The Food We Got Was Mediocre. Also, The Prices Are A Bit On The High Side In My Opinion. $70 Bill For 2 Common Plates. No Drinks, We Only Had Water! Would I Come Back, Probably Not. There Are Plenty Of Other Places That Serve The Same Plates.
