Came to this place this morning to try a new coffee place out. I'll probably never go here again. Not because they basically didn't have anything to order but the service the girl gave. I felt disrespected. Ill start here. Yelp says they open at 9am but they were still locked and closed at 9:30 when we got there. They didn't have Ube latte, chocolate for a kids hot chocolate, or cold brew. (She didn't know they didn't have anything til after I paid). I then asked to cancel my order because they didn't have anything else that appealed to us and just refund it back to the card. She then said can I just give you cash (was she being lazy?) but I agreed. She gave me my money back in cash but didn't give me all the money back (I left a tip). I asked for a full refund because they didn't have anything to order and the attitude/service she gave us from the start but then she gave me more attitude and said, "Are you serious?!". She then aggressively grabbed the cash then aggressively handed the rest of the cash to me. (Almost throwing it). Bad experience for my first time here. So I'd recommend just going down the street to Hippies Brew or Peet's coffee across the street.

I'm literally here right now and the tea and atmosphere is so good that I had to right a 5-star review right now immediately. I actually was at Peet's across the street originally but wanted to switch things up so I walked over here and I'm so glad I did! The barista was super nice and made me a really good iced tea with added hibiscus and raspberry, and the guava muffin is divine. Also, the music is really good but not too loud for me to work on my laptop. Tame Impala is what I would've been listening to if I had my headphones in anyway! :) 10/10 would recommend!

I LOVE anything ube so I had to check this place out for their ube latte! I got the Iced Ube Latte and it was a 3/5 for me. I enjoyed it but I didn't find anything too special about it. The ube flavor is there, though on the subtle end. The ube they use is sweet so the latte will be sweet (non adjustable), but the sweetness was just right for me, not too sweet! Overall, the drink was delicious but I wouldn't say I'd be dying to come back for it again. Pictured is also a Matcha Latte, which my friend enjoyed as well! The staff who made my drink was super sweet though! Definitely loved the service here! The inside was somewhat dark and had only a couch, so if you're looking for a place to work or sit down, this might not be the best place for that. Parking was easy - lots of free street parking nearby!

Every time I go there, I'm greeted nicely. Great coffee, good pastries.

Early bird is a nice addition to downtown. A slower paced coffee stop with nice small bites for a light start to your day. They have mini breakfast burritos for $3.50 and their mushroom empanada is really good. I noticed croissants, cookies, and other tasty bites too. The matcha latte was nice and frothy.

I was in the area and decided to stop by because the purple drink everyone post caught my eye. I found parking right away but I did go Sunday afternoon. They were out of the purple drink. So then I asked the barista if she could do coffee art and she said she couldn't do that either. Then I just got a caramel latte. It had way too much coffee flavor and no caramel flavor. The almond croissant I got was ok. Unfortunately this place missed the mark for me. If you have something popular you should always have that item stocked.

Service-wise -- yes please! I recommend ordering the ube cupcake -- declicious and sweetness level is just enough. It matches really well with the latte. However, as for the ube latte, I was expecting more ube flavor, but it tastes kinda blend for me. Aside from the flavor, I enjoy the latte itself. If you are looking for a place to work/study, I think it depends on what you are looking for. They have tables to sit down, but it's a bit dark even with the natural sunlight. I mean it's a lounge overrall.

I was on my way from San Francisco to home (SoCal) and just stumbled into this place on the GPS and I'm glad I did. Customer service was 10/10 and the coffee was spectacular. We ordered an iced latte flavored with their house vanilla bean syrup and it was delicious. If I find myself 8 hours away from home again, I'll try to visit again!

Smooth little cafe located inside the Dirty Bird Lounge. The "Baristbros" that work there are awesome. They can make many of the expresso drinks you crave. A nice hip hop/jazz vibe plays is the background as you chill. Not to loud not to quiet...just right for those of us into writing, art or just socializing. The owner does great with the interior deco. A nice modern but unique look and feel. Should the day linger on whiles you sip on your mocha there is also a novel little restraint/bar in the rear. Great for big groups or solo socializing with a relaxed urban vibe atmosphere and staff.

I found this coffee place online and I decided to go in and try the coffee. I order a caramel latte with almond milk. The coffee was creamy and I did had a hint of taste of caramel. I also order a Ube cupcake which it was really good, it had filling in the middle. It tasted kinda like caramel the cupcake filling but I’m not sure. But the atmosphere of this place is more for the alcoholic beverages not for the coffee or food really. Overall it was okay this place.

UBE LATTE: the hype! I was pretty excited to come and try the ube latte, since I haven't seen that anywhere else. Located in downtown Hayward, there's ample parking on the streets and some parking lots around the area. The front part of the store is the cafe while the backend seems to be a lounge bar. Besides the ube latte, I also got the bacon and cheese croissant sandwich, a fried chicken waffle slider, and a carnitas empanada. Honestly, the food was pretty disappointing for its price. The croissant was a half croissant for $6, and the chicken slider was a half waffle with chicken that was very dry and flavorless. The food did not taste fresh and I wouldn't recommend them. For the ube latte, the ube flavor was very subtle and I wish that it was a lot stronger, but overall it was pretty good as a regular latte.

Ube latte?! You caught my attention! The Early Bird Coffee is located in downtown Hayward. Usually, if I circle a couple of times, I can find street parking so it's not the worst situation. It's a pretty spacious location (for a coffee shop, anyway!) so I felt safe coming here and being able to maintain my distance. The baristas are always really nice! The owner (i think??) has been behind the bar a couple of times when I stopped by! She is so welcoming and engaging, I really enjoy talking to her! I appreciate having a face behind a business, it makes me way more excited to shop anywhere. I always get the ube latte with oat milk and it's the best ube latte I've had anywhere. Usually places don't add enough ube flavor or it's kinda funky, but this one is perfect. It's a beautiful Instagram-worthy purple drink that me and all my friends love. I heard the ube cupcakes are good too, but I am vegan so I haven't tried them. Knocked down a star because I don't believe there are any vegan pastry options. It would be nice to have something to eat with my delicious latte! Overall, a cute cafe with a fun drink and lovely staff. Will definitely continue to come here when I'm in the area.

Update: My latte should've clearly been purple. I should've known better, but I thought saying I'll have the ube Latte was clear. Not sure how much of an effort I'll make now to go back and try again. If you're ordering it, make sure it's purple. Regular latte is ok. Not bad. ----------- This is a really cute place. I'll probably be back when I'm in the area. I came to try their Ube Latte, but I don't taste any hint of ube flavor at all. I'm beginning to think I was given just a regular latte. Bummer too because I was excited to try it. Sooooo...I can't rate on it because I'm not sure what kind of latte I was actually given. B St can be busy so street parking could be hard to find. There is a parking lot down the street closer to Lucky's and Peet's. The employee was really sweet and the store is cozy. I'll have to come back though eventually to try the Ube latte though.
