Really dissatisfied and disappointed with this place. I was so excited to try it and finally today when we got to the beach to eat our food we were both hugely let down. Firstly the cost of the food is high when it has only 1 $ sign. Secondly my husband bit into an avocado stem/top, whilst eating his burrito, (which really hurt his tooth). I ordered the jamaican burrito and I was so overwhelmed by the j*** sauce I couldn't finish sadly. It didnt taste authentic.. Overall just really dissapointed...

Great Soyrizo veggie breakfast burrito. This is probably one of the top three that I have ever had. Laid back casual environment. Servers are friendly and knowledgeable. Your order will take a while but good things do take a while. You will leave full and happy you came here!

New location is hurtin right now. Needs some better service and probably more help in the kitchen. Vibe is off here. Good food though...

I'm not sure what's up with this place lately, but the food is lacking something...mainly the ingredients advertised to be included on items, yet they are not. For the last 3x in a row, we've received food that ingredients were either missing or substituted with something entirely different. Not to mention they are now consistently out of the vegan turkey. San-O salad, no sprouts, Spot burger- weird hummus not aioli, soyrizo tacos-no avocado or greens but random tomatoes. I now expect when I request something not be on the item (tomatoes) they will still be on there...fine we pick them off...but now not even the items that are supposed to be on the food are missing. Please get it together Secret Spot, we want to like you but you're making it hard.

Food is good but the customer service is absolutely horrible. They never have enough people working, everything moves extremely slow here. If you want to call in for pick up, good luck getting someone to take your order! Most of the time, you will wait 5+ minutes on hold. I just tried and after 10 minutes of holding, hung up to write this review. Even if you are able to get thru and place an order for pick up, you'll have to wait in a line with people who are ordering in-store. No pick up or to go line here, usually takes another 5+ minutes in line. Wish Secret Spot would care about their customers more because they just lost some loyal ones. Some really easy steps could be implemented to overcome these deficits but it seems they just simply don't care. Please let me know if you figure it out or need some pointers, Secret Spot management. It's not enough to have good food these days -people want to spend their money with companies that care about their customers experience and Secret Spot just doesn't seem to have the time, money, or desire to do so. Really hope you guys can turn it around, I am very disappointed.

Tasty, nutritious and creative options! Dine in and get a bottle of wine or take out to Riip for an IPA.

They changed locations! It's now located a bit north of the old restaurant in the next complex over. On the other side of the gas station. A few more seating areas in this new place though not significantly more. There are 5 tables and some couches that seat 4 each. Service was slow, we waited quite some time for our food but it was because there was one employee taking care of the whole front restaurant function. The food itself was decent, not super impressive but considering the ingredients are fresh and the appeal is that the food is healthier, I do give them props. This place is good for vegans and vegetarians but for carnivores there are some limited meat options overall. It's also linked to the liquor store next door so you can eat your food and enjoy a drink.

Not really sure how I somehow managed to forget to rave about this place on here. I've been legit eating here since the 90's. Everything on the menu is absolute fire. I know because I tried it all before going Vegan last year. The Tacos Del Diego are by far my favorite plant based option on the menu. The new location is super mellow with a coach and outside seating. I can't recommend this place enough

Amazing avocado toast ( it was in the seasonal menu ) and good wholesome healthy food and smoothies. Very happy with our experience here, no problem with the service like some of the other reviews here mentioned. Too bad we don’t live here otherwise we’d be a regular!

Once really good, now horrible. Waited 45 minutes on 3 sandwiches and they were not well made.

Don't waist your time and money here, if you do make sure your not charged full price on the daily specials... Waited almost and hour for this inedible charcoal vegan sandwich that was highly recommended. I could say a lot more about my last experience, but my time is worth more than what this place is dishing out...

It's no Secret! After moving back to OC, we were delighted to find Secret Spot. After waiting for the new location to reopen , we were sadly disappointed. Uncaring or distracted staff. Food, was just ok. Wooden forks and spoons? I understand the effort here, but the plant based cutlery at the old location worked much better. I will give it some time to allow them to find their groove before coming back.

Honestly pains me to write this review as I've been a happy customer since 2000... but I recently visited their new location a few doors down and everything has completely changes (as even noted by the recent reviews). Upon arriving there was a gentleman waiting to pay for his phone order and a single girl running food out from the kitchen... she didn't even acknowledge the customer at the front and he waiting almost 10 mins just to pay for his already bagged order which anyone could tell he was increasingly getting frustrated. She also had a phone in her pocket which was ringing off the hook and never once answered. There were even additional employees who were walking in loading some ingredients but not one could smile or greet any one else in the store. Clearly there is a need to have some additional help. She also happened to spill an entire order trying to navigate through the tight seating arrangements... maybe it might be easier to just bring orders to the front and call out customer names??? I myself finally placed my order and It took over 25 mins for a single SS burrito which was nowhere to the quality it has been in previous years. The burrito had barely any BBQ on it which was the key that made the burrito stand out and was mostly filled with potatoes & very little chicken. Sad to say... I probably won't go out of my way to stop in next time due to this experience.

Delicious, vegan-friendly spot with generous portions and a welcoming ambiance. Had spicy vegan tacos (big, very tasty, on homemade tortillas) and a blueberry lemonade (more like a smoothie), both delicious. If I lived here, I'd be a regular.
