From the moment you are greeted, you get a VIP treatment. The servers are all super friendly and professional. Food is ok. But I go there for the drinks and service. Great for business meetings.

Dined at the Irvine Spectrum location since Newport Beach is temp closed. Food portions were noticeably smaller than usual, margaritas had minimal alcohol in them if any? I'm a light weight and can usually feel something after 1 drink. Didn’t feel anything after 2! Super disappointing. Server was great, but support staff was trying to take our plates before we were finished with food still present. So sad to give a bad review as Javier’s has always been a favorite. Time to seek out some new venues!

I literally paid $25 each for 4 enchiladas=$100.00!!! NO RICE, NO BEANS. Just two dinners with 2 enchiladas on each plate-That's it! That's the "new" menu..I love my lobster enchiladas, but I won't be back...

The food is good but there were no options, if you add or remove an ingredient from a dish you are charged extra. The drinks weren’t good. Service was a struggle as our server didn’t speak English and the loud atmosphere with music and people shouting didn’t help either. But I have to say service was so fast even our plates was removed while we were still eating.

We’ve been here a few to several times and the food, service and drinks have all been great each visit. It’s a great place to get quality food & drinks before watching a movie or after shopping.

Overall our experience here was good. We arrived and we were seated promptly with our reservation and greeted quickly by our waiter. He was very helpful to explain the menus and answered any questions we had. We started with Shrimp Ceviche which was very good, large shrimp pieces but could have used a little more citrus and was very close to a shrimp cocktail. My wife ordered a trios plate which was very good, with a great choice of seafood inside. I ordered the braised ribs, the sauce and meat had such a great flavor, the only complaint I had was that it was luke warm (maybe mine finished first and they had to wait on my wife's to come out?). The rice was very good. We will come back to try some different plates at some point. Our waiter played the largest part of us wanting to come back.

Javier's Restaurant has lovely decor and inviting atmosphere, as showcased by the metal tree artwork at the entrance. The staff are attentive, accomodating, and friendly! We enjoyed being seated in a semi private room and it made the dining experience that much better. We ordered the trio de ceviche, guacamole, and queso fundido as appetizers. They were all delicious. We had the carne tampiqueña, arrachera, enchiladas de vegetales, among other dishes. Again, all very delicious. For dessert we had the tres leches cake, fried ice cream, and chocolate cake. The fried ice cream dish was the favorite. I was also a big fan of their guava margarita mocktail!I would reserve this for special occasion due to costs but it's definitely worth trying.

We made reservations for dinner and waited approximately like 15 minutes to be seated. Our server was very attentive with us throughout the night. The food was delicious and so were the drinks.

The prices have gone way up. Used to be my go to but there are too many new mexican restaurants at a better price now.Their enchilada plate used to be with rice and beans for $35. Now, no beans and rice, only 2 enchiladas for $32. You need to buy the rice and beans separately now.
