The restaurant itself looking a bit dingy, but I didn't let that stop me, I have found some of the best food in ugly holes in the wall places. The staff was fairly nice overall, that was the best quality about this restaurant, in my opinion.Food was abysmal tho, I had to scavenger hunt for my chicken in the pile of peppers. I initially thought the peppers were part of the dish but they were plastic-like and hard to chew. I followed up with a native Chinese friend who confirmed that they had given me alot of garnish that isn't meant to be eaten.Picture of what was left of my dish after I finished the actual food for reference

It's said to be Tianjin steamed buns, but the cook is from Sichuan.

When you order take out or app pick up they give your food to dine-in customers first. And then they lie to you about taking a long time to prepare the food. Dishonest place. They also force you to tip if you dine in, watching you like a hawk.

How can I put it... I feel like their chef must have changed (or is he really in a bad mood?) In the past few years, basically every dish was still on par. This time I went to eat pumpkin and millet porridge, Maoxuewang, stir-fried vegetables, Xianghe meat pie, and spring cakes (wanted to be used for wrapping vegetables). The first thing served was millet porridge. It felt like it had been left out for a while and was warm. The food was not piping hot, and the ingredients were also very thin, followed by Maoxuewang...the worst failure...I have never had such tasteless Maoxuewang, it felt like I had scalded all the food with water. Pour it into the diluted red oil...Every ingredient in it has the most original flavor...I feel that the red oil is diluted because I can't feel a little salty and spicy. At the end of the meal, the food soaked in the bottom layer is still clear and clear. It tastes watery... I really don't know how they did it... And the stir-fried vegetables are also soft and rotten, as if Sichuan has been blanched for a long time before being stir-fried and served... Next is the Xianghe meatloaf... the fried vegetables are old and tender. Oil, I feel like it’s over fried, the skin is not crispy but hard...I seriously suggest that the boss raise the chef's salary or find a new chef... Then I suggest diners, if they want to eat at a similar price but with delicious food that won't make them hungry after eating, drive a little further to the private kitchen in Tustin...
Horrible service, kept telling us to order online when we asked to order in person. While they helped other desks to order in person. Took away our chair before we even finished

Lamb organ soup not fresh. Two people had diarrhea after eating. Recommend Slip fat sausage, one star for the sausage.

Food was delicious and large portions. The service was great. They were helpful and provided recommendations. The buns (got the pork one) were delicious. Also got this pork that came with pancake things you could make little wraps. That was so good. Added some of the shredded potatoes in it as well. Very good. Will def be back. Cute place with great service and delicious food.

Food is good. We (3 adults and 2 kids) love the scallion pancakes, and the soupy eight treasures dessert. Service and Atmosphere are as normal as we would expect in a Chinese restaurant.
