This place is awesome! We came here twice over the course of our short vacation, because I wanted it again! Really high quality, delicious food! I appreciate that they have a delicious dedicated vegan option too. Well worth the price.

So disappointed in the service , over 90 mins of dinner was checked on one time! At the end of paying finishing my glass of wine the waiter came and grabbed my bill as if to say I’m in the way. Very rude , this place may only thrive due to the location definitely not on service or the way the waiters attend to you. I still tipped 20% and now regret doing so.

Friendly, fresh and delicious! Enjoyed the Chianti, Caesar salad , the Marguerite pizza and especially the Spaghetti with clams. The additional shaved Parmesan and fresh ground pepper addd to the experience.

The food was okay, was it tasty? Sure it was tasty. We had the Margarita pizza which was average. It wasn't the best nor the worst, very mediocre. We also had the tortellini pesto and the tortellini rose. It was creamy, and well made, however the portion sizes were extremely small for what they were charging. I wouldn't come back. The service was okay and the food was okay. There was nothing special about what we ate. I would avoid this restaurant all together.

Felt like a VIP from the moment I walked in. Incredible service with food to match. The primavera vegana was to die for. Left nothing behind. Give this gem a try!

This place is a little slice of Italy in the heart of Laguna Beach, CA. The staff were friendly, professional and fast.
The food was very good (sorry I forgot to take pics of what we ate).
I had the Tortellini al Pesto stuffed with braised short ribs (generously stuffed) and covered in their pesto sauce...YUMMY!
The cost isn't too high (but worth every penny).
Parking in the area is at a premium and there are paid lots, but they are costly ($$). Handicap ♿️ parking is hard to find. I sure didn't see any and if there is any...there isn't nearly enough. ;(

I believe the Olive Garden may surpass this place in flavor. This food was actually more generic and worst than the Olive Garden, except it pretends to be better. The pasta was not fresh and nothing was seasoned with salt. The decor hasn’t been changed since the late 90s…. There are literal blue waves above the booths. So, no ambiance and horribly over priced food. What else could you possibly ask for?
The service was good… but it’s not enough to make you wish you never walked into this place :)

We decided to try happy hour at Romeo Cucina before going to the Pageant of the Masters. We sat at the bar, which had four open seats when we arrived, and ordered only from the happy hour menu. First, we wanted the caprese and prosciutto with melon. The cantaloupe with prosciutto was delicious but the tomatoes somehow lacked flavor even in prime tomato season. The eggplant parm we had was very crisp and delicious, but the meatballs were bland and bready. We also had a pizza which was good but could have been cooked a few more minutes. The pizza was actually pretty damn delicious late night, reheated with chopped leftover meatballs and caprese and some green olives and red pepper flakes. Service was fast and friendly and appropriately attentive. Oh, and the house chianti was so forgettable I nearly forgot to mention it.

We have walked by this place several times and it is always busy. The reason is the amazing service and great food.
Everyone enjoyed their food so quickly that I could not take photos.

I went to Romeo’s after a day at the beach with some friends expecting great food, but the food was not good, especially not for the price.
-The Margherita pizza was not a Margherita pizza, but just a cheese pizza with a little basil sprinkled on top.
-The pastas were bland and/or had such small serving sizes for the price.
-$25 for a singular chicken breast, grainy potatoes, and over blanched spinach is ridiculous.
Nothing about the food was good or authentic. Unless you count some okay asparagus as authentic Italian.
Also, when did restaurants start automatically adding a 20% service charge for groups for a table of 5? That’s a pretty basic amount of people to serve at one table, especially when the table initially came with six table settings… Especially weird and unexpected seeing as it’s not mentioned anywhere on the website or menu that a party of 5 is considered a group large enough for said charge.
It’s really disappointing, especially considering how the restaurant really is pretty nice looking and has close proximity to the beach, but not even those can make up for the awful food, high prices, and strange service charging for “groups”.

Outstanding Filetto di Manzo for the main, with garlic spinach and herb roasted potatoes. Finished with a delightful tiramisu martini and pistachio cannoli; waiter and staff were outstanding and will definitely be back.
